Isabelle Tate, 9-1-1: Nashville Actress, Dead at 23

The Nashville community is mourning the loss of a rising star.

Isabelle Tate, known for playing Julie in the first episode of Ryan Murphy’s 9-1-1: Nashville, passed away on October 19th in Tennessee. She was 23 years old, as confirmed by her agent, Kim McCray, on Facebook.

Kim shared on October 21st that she’s known Izzy since her teenage years and is thrilled Izzy is acting again. Izzy landed a role in the series 9-1-1: Nashville after her very first audition and really enjoyed the experience.

The agent added, “I was so lucky to know her and she will be greatly missed by so many.”

The official cause of Isabelle’s death is still unknown. TopMob News has contacted her agency, McCray Agency, for a statement, but they haven’t responded yet.

In her obituary, Isabelle’s family detailed how she “wanted to save the world.”

The obituary described Isabelle as someone who loved giving back, especially to animals—a perfect day for her would be spent at an animal shelter showering them with affection. It also noted that she was a passionate and determined person who never let any disability hold her back or define her.

Oh my gosh, I just learned so much about her! She was a Tennessee girl through and through, born and raised in Nashville! Can you believe she even went to Middle Tennessee State University and got a business degree? It’s amazing! And it breaks my heart to know she battled Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, but she was so involved with the foundation that supports research for it. Her family asked that, instead of sending flowers, people donate to the CMT foundation, which is just…so her. It shows how much she cared and wanted to help others, even after she was gone. It’s just…everything about her was incredible.

Isabelle’s family mentioned in her obituary that she loved music, and she enjoyed spending time with friends writing, recording, and even releasing her own songs.

The obituary also noted that above all else, she cherished time with loved ones and was known for being the heart of any gathering.

Isabelle has spoken before about her nerve condition and how it’s taught her to appreciate every moment.

In a 2022 Instagram post, she shared that while she doesn’t understand why life dealt her certain challenges, she’s decided to accept them. She explained that going through this experience has shifted how she views life, and she’s learned to cherish the small joys we often overlook.

She wisely said that everyone faces hidden struggles, so it’s important to always be kind and understanding.

I’m so saddened by the loss of Isabelle. She leaves behind her sister, Danielle Tate, and is lovingly remembered by her mother, Katerina Kazakos Tate, her stepfather, Vishnu Jayamohan, and her father, John Daniel Tate. My heart goes out to them all during this difficult time.
