The connection between Lynch’s art and his audience will endure for many years to come, especially as streaming services continue to expand and make films like his more accessible. Lately, one of Lynch’s most cherished works has become even simpler to enjoy.

This month, Tubi has included the cult classic thriller “Blue Velvet” in their streaming selection, allowing everyone to watch it for free without a subscription. Now, enthusiasts of David Lynch or those who want to explore the work of this legendary filmmaker have an excellent chance to enjoy a fantastic film.

If you’re not acquainted, “Blue Velvet” can be described as a surreal, dreamlike tale, revolving around a found ear and a nightclub performer. This movie is one of David Lynch’s numerous projects featuring Kyle MacLachlan as the main actor, and another joint work with Academy Award-winner Laura Dern.

Currently, “Blue Velvet” is the only Lynch film that can be streamed on Tubi. Some of his other significant works, such as “Eraserhead” and “Lost Highway,” can be streamed for free on Kanopy, but you need a library card to access it.
