Hazelight Studios has consistently created incredibly popular action-adventure games designed specifically for two players. All three of their titles have been major hits.
The development team, headed by director Josef Fares, has announced that their games – A Way Out, It Takes Two, and Split Fiction – have collectively sold over 50 million copies.
It’s celebrated with a fun video shared to its social accounts:
The post above also highlights sales information for each of its games.
I’m still blown away by how well Hazelight’s games have done! A Way Out reached a fantastic 13 million copies sold, but It Takes Two absolutely smashed it – it’s already over 30 million! It’s by far their most popular game, and I’m so glad to see it doing so well.
Split Fiction, the team’s latest game, has sold 7 million copies in just over a year since it was released in March 2025.
These games have become popular because they’re well-made and offer something truly new. While they’re not flawless, they stand out from the crowd – no other games offer cooperative experiences quite like these three.
What’s your favorite Hazelight game so far? And what features would you like to see in their next game? Let us know in the comments!
