The world of Predator is known for its thrilling movies, starting with the original in 1987 and continuing with films like Predator 2, Predators, The Predator, Prey, Predator: Killer of Killers, and the recent Predator: Badlands. It even includes crossover stories with Alien! But the franchise extends beyond the big screen, with a rich universe of comic books. And next month, a particularly intense new comic book story will be released, adding to the lore.
The first issue of Predator: Bloodshed arrives in comic shops on February 25th and promises to be an exciting new take on the Predator story. Written by Jordan Morris with artwork by Roland Boschi and Ruairi Coleman, this five-issue series throws a Yautja hunter into the world of underground martial arts, creating a unique and thrilling conflict. ComicBook has a special first look at this unprecedented story.
Things Get Bloody Fast in Predator: Bloodshed #1

The first preview of Predator: Bloodshed #1 doesn’t include any words – they’re keeping the story a secret! – but it’s already clear this comic will take readers to a brutal and unique fighting world. As the preview pages show, things quickly become incredibly violent when the Predator appears, and that’s bad news for everyone. The Predator’s sudden arrival completely changes the stakes, turning a competition for a big prize into a fight for survival – lose, and you don’t walk away.
Morris, a longtime fan of the Predator series, explained his idea: the Yautja, known for seeking difficult hunts, would be drawn to an underground martial arts tournament featuring Earth’s best fighters. Growing up with fighting games and movies, Morris believes this kind of tournament is incredibly exciting, and he’s thrilled for audiences to see the Yautja dominate the competition.
Marvel’s Predator: Bloodshed #1 takes place in the near future where the world’s best fighters compete in a secret, underground martial arts tournament. The competition turns deadly when a Predator arrives, and the fighters must now battle for survival. Can these rivals put aside their differences and work together against this alien hunter? Get ready for a brutal and unique tournament! Rated for mature audiences.
Predator: Bloodshed #1 goes on sale February 25th from Marvel Comics.
