Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto remains incredibly popular worldwide, thanks to its compelling story and memorable characters. The manga first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999 and quickly became a massive success. The anime adaptation, produced by Studio Pierrot in 2002, boosted the series’ popularity even further, eventually making it a global phenomenon, especially during the mid-to-late 2000s. Even people who don’t typically watch anime recognize the young ninja, Naruto, with his signature orange jumpsuit. The original anime ran until 2007, and was immediately followed by Naruto: Shippuuden, which picks up the story after a two-and-a-half-year time jump.
Over twenty years after it first came out, Naruto remains incredibly popular. Fans eagerly await new anime seasons, games, and merchandise to celebrate the series. The original anime ran for 220 episodes, and the sequel has 500, including extra episodes not found in the original manga. While most episodes are available on streaming services with a subscription, Amazon recently made all the dubbed episodes of the first part available to watch for free.
Naruto Currently Has a Free Amazon Prime Live TV Channel

Good news for Naruto fans in the U.S.! All 220 episodes of the English dub are now available to stream for free, 24/7, on Amazon Prime’s Live TV Channel. The anime was first added to Amazon’s Freevee service last year, but after Freevee was discontinued, it moved to the Live TV channel, offering easy access to the series for its dedicated fanbase.
Many anime fans like to watch shows with subtitles, but Naruto is known for having a particularly good English dub. This new project from Amazon makes it easier for fans who prefer the dubbed version to enjoy the series. Naruto is a popular show that people often rewatch, which is why this initiative is exciting. However, it’s uncertain if this will be a permanent offering, as similar projects have been discontinued in the past. Currently, Naruto: Shippuuden and the original Naruto movies aren’t available on the channel, and it’s unlikely they will be added soon.
Fans are enjoying rewatching classic episodes of Naruto, but Studio Pierrot hasn’t said anything about the planned 20th anniversary anime project. This project, sometimes referred to as Naruto (Shinsaku Anime), was delayed from its original September 2023 release date and has been put on hold indefinitely. The original Naruto anime is currently available to stream on platforms like Crunchyroll, Hulu, Netflix, and Apple TV.
