As a huge MCU fan, I’ve been following the rumors about the Young Avengers for ages, and honestly, ten heroes really stand out as the perfect team line-up. Marvel’s been dropping hints for a while now, introducing a bunch of cool young characters, and it feels like they’re building towards a live-action Young Avengers team. We haven’t gotten an official announcement yet about *when* they’ll assemble, but they’ve definitely been teased, and I’d be so excited to see these heroes finally team up!
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a rich history of superhero teams, from various Avengers lineups to the Guardians of the Galaxy, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts. We can expect even more teams in the future, like the potentially upcoming Midnight Sons and X-Men, alongside the already hinted-at Young Avengers. While three members of the Young Avengers have been introduced, several other heroes could also become part of the team.
10) Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel

Iman Vellani first played Kamala Khan in the 2022 series *Ms. Marvel*, and then appeared in the 2023 film *The Marvels*, where the story hinted at the creation of a Young Avengers team. With her powers to create objects from light and experience working in a team, Kamala would be a strong leader for the Young Avengers, even if she isn’t the oldest member. While it hasn’t been officially announced, Vellani is expected to continue playing Ms. Marvel and will be a key part of the Young Avengers, just like in the Marvel comics.
9) Kate Bishop’s Hawkeye

The movie *The Marvels* ended with a brief appearance by Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, the character from the *Hawkeye* series. Kamala Khan approached her about the possibility of starting a team called the Young Avengers. Kate Bishop first appeared in the 2021 *Hawkeye* series, where she was trained by Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and became the new skilled archer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the oldest potential member of the Young Avengers, she could be a natural leader, though it’s currently unknown when she’ll appear again. If she does return as a Young Avenger, Kate Bishop has the potential to become a key hero in the MCU.
8) Cassie Lang’s Stature

Cassie Lang is a strong contender to join the Young Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First appearing in 2015’s *Ant-Man* as Scott Lang’s daughter, she’s been played by multiple actresses – Abby Ryder-Fortson, then Emma Fuhrmann, and most recently Kathryn Newton in 2023’s *Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania*. The role was given to Newton to allow Cassie a bigger part in the MCU, and with her father, Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), confirmed to be in *Avengers: Doomsday*, it would be great to see her return as well.
7) Riri Williams’ Ironheart

Dominique Thorne’s character, Riri Williams, has become a key hero for Marvel Studios after first appearing in the film *Black Panther: Wakanda Forever* (2022). The recent Disney+ series *Ironheart* (2025) really fleshed out her story, and it seems to have positioned her as a potential villain for the Young Avengers. She’s currently allied with the powerful Hood and has made a deal with Mephisto (played by Sacha Baron Cohen). While she could be an enemy of the Young Avengers, there’s a possibility she’ll switch sides and join them – possibly even turning against Mephisto.
6) Billy Maximoff’s Wiccan

Joe Locke took on the role of Billy Maximoff, first introduced by Julian Hilliard in *WandaVision*, and fully became Wiccan in the 2024 series *Agatha All Along*. Like his mother, the Scarlet Witch, Wiccan has powerful abilities to alter reality and the mind. Future storylines may bring Wiccan together with his reincarnated brother and the ghost of Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), potentially forming the core of a Young Avengers team – just as they are in Marvel comics. This could make them the most powerful members of the MCU’s Young Avengers.
5) Tommy Maximoff’s Speed

Look, if Billy Maximoff-Wiccan-ends up joining the Young Avengers, they absolutely *have* to include his twin brother, Tommy. Jett Klyne did a great job bringing Tommy to life in *WandaVision*, but it seems Marvel is recasting the role for future projects. While they haven’t officially announced who’s taking over, a lot of fans-and myself-are betting on Ruaridh Mollica to play the reincarnated Speed in the upcoming *Vision Quest* movie slated for 2026. We saw Tommy get a second chance at life in *Agatha All Along*, reborn as a boy who drowned, but honestly, we haven’t seen much of what that means for him yet. I’m eager to see how they explore that storyline!
4) America Chavez

I was so excited to see Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez in *Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness*! She played the *only* America Chavez across all the different universes, which is pretty incredible. Because she can travel between worlds, I really think she’s going to be a key player in the next big Marvel sagas, *Avengers: Doomsday* and *Secret Wars*. I’m especially hoping she teams up with some other young heroes – she’d be a perfect fit for a Young Avengers team! After learning to control her powers and getting some magical training at Kamar-Taj in *Multiverse of Madness*, I think she’s really ready to shine.
3) Eli Bradley’s Patriot

Though Elijah Richardson’s character didn’t display any superpowers in the Disney+ series *The Falcon and the Winter Soldier*, he’s ideally suited to join the Young Avengers. His character, Eli Bradley, is the grandson of super-soldier Isaiah Bradley, and in the Marvel comics, Eli initially claimed to have powers from a blood transfusion. However, it was later revealed he was using Mutant Growth Hormone and had lied to his teammates. Bringing this storyline to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – especially now that mutants are being introduced – would be a great way to develop the character, and it would be exciting to see Richardson reprise his role.
2) Skaar

Skaar, the son of the Hulk who appeared briefly in the *She-Hulk* finale with actor Wil Deusner, hasn’t been seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for three years. It’s surprising, as he has a lot of potential! He’d be a fantastic addition to a Young Avengers team, essentially filling the role of the team’s Hulk. His complicated history from the Marvel comics is worth exploring, and introducing him alongside other young heroes would be a great way to build out his character and give fans a new Hulk-like figure to root for.
1) Angela Del Toro’s White Tiger

New photos from the set of *Daredevil: Born Again* season 2 show that Camila Rodriguez’s character, Angela del Toro, will become the White Tiger. Her uncle, Hector Ayala, was the White Tiger in season 1 but was killed. Angela will now take on the same heroic role. This sets her up to potentially join the Young Avengers, filling a similar role to Black Panther within the team. Working alongside Daredevil will also give her valuable experience in teamwork.
