The latest preview pages for The Bear and the Butterfly offer fans more insight into the story’s title, and feature a surprise attack by one of the series’ well-known villains. The series began earlier this year, following events in Dol Gwyn – a northern village that’s become a hotspot for monster hunters due to a substantial reward offered for a vampire’s capture.
Throughout the series, Geralt starts his own investigation and monster hunts, quickly discovering that things in Dol Gwyn aren’t as simple as they seem. As the story reaches its conclusion, viewers can expect to finally learn the answers to many of the questions raised throughout the series.
The Witcher: The Bear and the Butterfly is the newest comic in a series that began in 2014. Published by Dark Horse, these comics are based on the world of The Witcher created by CD Projekt, but tell new stories separate from the original novels by Andrzej Sapkowski.

As the comic book series The Witcher: The Bear and the Butterfly nears its end, the live-action Witcher universe continues with the fourth season of the Netflix show, which premiered on October 30th. This season features Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, taking over from Henry Cavill, but the change hasn’t been well-received by viewers. In fact, the new season has received overwhelmingly negative reviews, earning a rare ‘Rotten’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of only 19%.
