After the success of Hallmark’s movie about the Kansas City Chiefs, they’re releasing a sequel for the 2025 Christmas season. This time, it’s the Buffalo Bills’ turn to be featured in a Hallmark film titled “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story“. Given this, I’ve been curious to know if Bills quarterback Josh Allen plans to watch the movie. And, finally, someone asked him about it.
Hallmark fans have been hoping for a Holiday Touchdown sequel, so it was a pleasant surprise when it was announced earlier this year that another NFL-based rom-com would indeed be happening. This time it’s centered around the Buffalo Bills. Since Allen has his own high-profile love story, having married Hailee Steinfeld in May, I’ve been curious to know if he’d be tuning in. He was actually asked by USA Today Sports if he was planning on watching it and what his thoughts were on it, and I love his answer:
Absolutely, I plan to catch it. Given that numerous team members will be featured in the film, there have been a few who expressed apprehension about their roles and lines. However, considering everyone’s talent, I’m optimistic it will turn out well. Therefore, let’s go ahead and give it a watch.
Predicting the outcome of this movie compared to the one by the Chiefs might be tricky, but having Allen and possibly Steinfeld involved definitely adds excitement. If only we could capture their reactions on camera, it would make the experience perfect; unfortunately, that seems highly unlikely.
Additionally, it’s exciting to consider appearances by Buffalo Bills players and maybe their relatives in the film too, mirroring Mama Kelce’s role in the initial Holiday Touchdown. While I’m not a Bills supporter myself, this movie definitely piques my curiosity.
Currently, we’re only aware of general information regarding “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story“, but it has been confirmed that it will focus on two lifelong friends in search of a mysterious Santa figure. An unexpected discovery promises to shake things up, or as they say, “turn the tables.” Despite not being a fan of the Bills, I’m looking forward to seeing how this film unfolds because, after all, it’s a Hallmark Christmas movie-a genre I always enjoy during the festive season. Furthermore, learning that Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld might be watching the same movie as me makes it even more appealing.
In addition to “Holiday Touchdown,” another Hallmark sequel on the horizon is titled “Haul Out the Halloween.” This third installment of Lacey Chabert’s “Haul Out the Holly” series will have a Halloween theme. The movie, set for release by Hallmark, brings Chabert together with long-time friend and fellow “Halloweentown” actress Kimberly J. Brown. Daniel Kountz, who starred alongside Brown in “Halloweentown II,” is also featured in the film.
It’s uncertain if Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story can match the success and charm of A Chiefs Love Story, but it promises to be an enjoyable watch. As of now, a release date hasn’t been set, but it’s scheduled for Hallmark’s annual Countdown to Christmas lineup. So, fans (and Josh Allen) should brace themselves for the wait, as the anticipation will likely prove worthwhile.
