‘I’ve Never Seen Him Handle A Situation Like This.’ Man Who Reportedly Protected Diddy Amid Attempted Knife Attack Breaks Silence

As a huge supporter of Diddy, I was relieved to hear he’s been moved to FCI Fort Dix to begin his sentence. It sounds like things were pretty rough for him at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he’d been since his arrest last September. I heard it’s a really dangerous place, and apparently, he was almost attacked with a knife before the transfer! Thankfully, someone stepped in to protect him, and now we’re hearing from that person, which is good to know he had some support during a scary time.

I was shocked to hear about what supposedly happened to Diddy back in October. His friend, Charlucci Finney, said someone actually put a knife to his throat while he was sleeping! Apparently, they weren’t sure if Diddy fought the person off himself or if his security team intervened. Finney thought it was probably more of a scare tactic than a real attempt on Diddy’s life, but now it sounds like some of the story might not be entirely accurate.

Raymond Castillo claims he helped Sean Combs during the incident and recently told the Daily Mail what happened. He denied rumors that a knife was held to Combs’ throat or that there was any extortion attempt. Castillo said the situation started while Combs was watching the show Basketball Wives, when someone approached him with a request.

A man kept bothering Diddy, insisting on having the chair he was sitting in. Diddy told him it wasn’t anyone’s chair, and asked why he was causing a problem while he was trying to relax and watch TV. Diddy wasn’t sure if the man was trying to intimidate him or get attention, but he refused to give in.

The man then reportedly obtained a homemade weapon and started moving towards the performer of “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down.” It was at that point that Castillo stepped in.

I stepped between them and caught the man’s hand. I wasn’t sure what was wrong – maybe he was just having a rough day, or something had just upset him, or he’d received bad news on the phone.

According to various reports, the MDC prison is known for violence. Diddy reportedly had a difficult time there, not necessarily because he felt physically threatened, but because he was cut off from the outside world. Despite a tense situation with another inmate, Raymond Castillo claims Diddy handled it well.

I was surprised by how Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs handled the situation. Instead of getting angry or calling security, he calmly and directly addressed the man. He simply stared him down, made eye contact, and spoke to him with kindness. He even said something like, ‘You might be going through a tough time, and maybe prayer could help.’ It was a really different approach than most people would take.

How Diddy Just Landed A Legal Win Following His Prison Transfer

When police arrived after the incident was reported, Combs surprisingly defended the person who attacked him. Previously, he’d been known for his kindness to fellow inmates at the MDC, and notes from before his sentencing showed he even started a business class to help them develop skills for starting their own businesses.

Several months after Sean Combs’ trial concluded this summer, he was found guilty of two charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution. While convicted on these counts, he was cleared of more serious accusations of sex trafficking and racketeering. In October, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced him to four years – about 50 months – in prison. Combs is currently serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in New Jersey.

Publicly, Diddy hasn’t faced any issues like the recent knife incident at the detention center. However, another former inmate, Joe Giudice, reported experiencing violence and gang problems while he was incarcerated. Sources say Diddy, who is currently assigned to laundry duty, is making connections at Fort Dix. This makes people wonder if he’ll receive the same kind of protection from someone like Raymond Castillo if he were to be threatened.
