Jack Black turns British as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 changes his character

Indeed, you’ve got it right! It’s me, your excited fan, sharing some fantastic news: Jack Black is taking on a British role in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4! Pop that play button up top to catch a glimpse of this exciting update!

Jack Black is well-versed in video game adaptations, indeed. He has taken on roles like Bowser in the Super Mario Bros Movie, Steve in A Minecraft Movie (and unfortunately, the character from Borderlands), establishing himself as a favorite comedic actor for turning gaming franchises into blockbuster hits.

As a dedicated fan, I must admit, it’s quite refreshing to discover that Black characters are still making appearances in video games, not just limited to their big-screen counterparts.

Known for his own gaming prowess, he’s also recognized in the lyrics of Tenacious D, mentioning Red Dead Redemption 2 and several other renowned video games.

Now, it has been announced that Jack Black is coming back to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4, where he will introduce a fresh take on his longstanding character, Officer Dick, who is known for dishing out witty remarks in this iconic skateboarding game series.

Instead of his regular undercover skater character, Officer Dick, Jack Black is switching things up by adopting an impressive British accent for the London level in the game, playing the role of Constable Richard. (Catch the clever play on words?)

In his youth, Richard Ennvee endured mockery from fellow skaters who labeled him as a poser. Driven by a desire for retribution, he swore to someday embody their worst nightmare – a formidable figure in law enforcement!

Gamers are looking forward to an exciting encounter since they’ll get to meet Constable Richard, who corresponds to Officer Dick in the UK, during the game’s London stage. Interestingly, Jack Black lends his voice to Constable Richard as well, making him just as tough and absurdly comical as Officer Dick.

As a fan, I can’t help but express my delight in how perfectly Black delivered the line, “Not so full of beans now, are you?” It feels like something I could hear echoing around the local skatepark soon enough.

The video games Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and 4 are set to debut on July 11th for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Currently, a preview of the game, called Foundry demo, is already accessible, and we’ll keep you updated as the launch date approaches.
