Jack Osbourne was not sugarcoating where he stands with sister Aimee Osbourne.
Prior to their joint appearance at father Ozzy Osbourne’s funeral on July 31, Kelly Osbourne, along with middle sister and mom Sharon Osbourne, had expressed a strained relationship, as the 39-year-old admitted that she and her eldest sibling were primarily out of touch.
On his July 16 podcast, Jack made it clear that he and she are not particularly close. In fact, they don’t have a strong bond. If anyone should speak about it, she would be the one, making it an open matter.
However, it’s important to note that Jack, who is a father of four daughters (two from his former partner Lisa Stelly and two from his current wife Aree Gearhart), clarified that Aimee’s relationship with her family had no influence on her decision not to be part of their popular MTV reality show during the 2000s.
In the past, her ambition was to become a musician, specifically one who had an enigmatic and introspective style similar to Fiona Apple or Mazzy Star. To her, performing on MTV seemed too easy or commonplace.
41-year-old Aimee, known musically as ARO, has expressed that her preference for privacy prevented her from participating in the reality show The Osborenes, later disclosing her unhappiness when her family continued with the project without her involvement.
In 2015, she shared with The Independent that her opinion didn’t make a difference in the end. “It was their journey, their choice,” she said, “and they had every right to seize the chance. And that’s exactly what they did.
Since then, Aimee has generally followed her own path, sharing with the media that although there was a level of acceptance between her and her younger siblings, they did not have a close bond.
Similarly, Kelly expressed the same idea during her interview on Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, stating that they “seldom communicate.
In that 2021 episode, Kelly, who is 40 years old, candidly acknowledged, “We’re fundamentally distinct from each other.” She expressed that she struggles to comprehend her counterpart, and reciprocally, the other person doesn’t grasp her either.

In the heart of Birmingham, England, the world saw the birth of John Michael Osbourne, more commonly known as Ozzy Osbourne, in 1948. It wasn’t until two decades later that his heavy metal band Black Sabbath—a collaboration with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—made its debut.
In 1971, Ozzy tied the knot with Thelma Riley. Their union resulted in the arrival of children Louis and Jessica Osbourne, along with Elliot Kingsley, Thelma’s son from a previous relationship. However, Ozzy discovered that fame comes with its own shadows.
In his words from the 2020 documentary “Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne,” he admitted, “Money would buy the alcohol and the drugs.” He also acknowledged his unacceptable behavior, stating, “I behaved fking badly.”
1979 marked the year when Ozzy was dismissed from Black Sabbath, launching his solo career. His marriage to Thelma ended in 1982, and he married Sharon Osbourne—whose father managed Black Sabbath—that same year.
Through their highs and lows, Ozzy and Sharon were open about their struggles, such as his physical attack on her while under the influence in 1989 and the 2016 separation she attributed to infidelity. Despite these challenges, they welcomed children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne in the ’80s and renewed their vows in 2017.
Many of their personal ups and downs were showcased on their reality show “The Osbournes,” which aired from 2002 to 2005. After some time away from the limelight due to health issues, including battles with Parkinson’s disease and surgeries following a 2003 ATV accident, Ozzy participated in Black Sabbath’s final show in July 2025, passing away weeks later at the age of 76.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way:
In 1979, after my split from Black Sabbath, Ozzy found himself in need of a manager. That role fell to me, Sharon, born in 1952. Our professional bond soon morphed into something deeper – love. As I confessed in ‘Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne’, “I was still married, but I fell in love with Sharon.”
Beyond managing Ozzy, my roster has included iconic acts like The Smashing Pumpkins, Motorhead, and The Electric Light Orchestra. However, it’s television that truly propelled me into the limelight. After our family’s groundbreaking series, ‘The Osbournes’, I ventured into reality TV myself, appearing on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, serving as a judge on ‘The X Factor’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’, and hosting ‘The Talk’ for 11 years until my departure in 2021.
Like Ozzy, I too have shared my health struggles over the years. I battled colon cancer in 2002, underwent a preventive double mastectomy in 2012, and faced a medical issue that hospitalized me in 2022. Yet, through all life’s trials and tribulations, our love has remained unwavering.
Reflecting on our journey in 2023, I told TopMob News, “We’re two oddballs who found each other. We were two wild young people that connected. It hasn’t been easy – no relationship is easy, and you have to work at it. You experience your ugly times, bad times, and horrific times. But if you love each other, you’ll make it work.”
Aimee, born in September 1983, is the eldest child of Ozzy and Sharon, with two other siblings. Sharing the love for music that her parents have nurtured, she has sung and written songs both individually and as part of the band ARO.
In contrast to her family members, Aimee chose not to feature on the reality TV show “The Osbournes” during its run in the 2000s. In a 2021 interview on “The Michael Anthony Show,” she explained that she found it excessively nepotistic given her awareness of her father’s media presence growing up. She valued keeping her private life with her family shielded, especially as a teenager, to preserve the privacy and complexity within their family dynamics. Furthermore, she felt it was not a suitable career move for her.
Though Aimee has steered clear of extended public exposure, she has made appearances in MTV’s 2003 adaptation of “Wuthering Heights,” provided voiceovers for the 2014 animated film “Postman Pat: The Movie,” and starred in her own music videos.
Regarding her relationship with her siblings, Kelly has stated that they do not communicate often. In a 2024 interview on “Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard,” she expressed that they are simply very different individuals, with Aimee not fully comprehending her and vice versa.
13 months younger than her sister, Sharon and Ozzy’s daughter is named Kelly. A versatile individual, she’s an actress (in shows like “Life as We Know It” and “So Undercover” with Miley Cyrus), a singer (with two albums under her belt), a reality TV star (on shows such as “The Osbournes” and “Dancing With the Stars”), a competition judge (for “Project Runway: Junior” and “Australia’s Got Talent”), a designer, and a TV host, leading series like “Project Catwalk”, TopMob’s “Fashion Police”, and “Lego Masters Jr.”.
Throughout her life in the limelight, Kelly has been candid about the struggles she’s encountered, including her fight against addiction (now sober), past relationships (previously engaged to models Luke Worrall and Matthew Mosshart), and criticism over her appearance.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared with Us Weekly in 2024, “My life has come a long way, and I am just so thankful for every mistake I made, every lesson learned, all of it. I have such an amazing life. What could I possibly complain about?”
Her life today includes her son Sidney, born in November 2022, and her fiancé Sid Wilson, who proposed in July 2025. Speaking about Sidney, she added to Us Weekly, “With Sidney arriving 18 months after I got sober, ‘I truly believe that my baby saved me and made me a whole human.’ I don’t think I knew what love was before having him. I didn’t truly have a purpose. I just went from thing to thing, and this level of self-hate and self-doubt would consume me.
Born in November 1985, Jack Osbourne, the youngest child of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, made his entrance into the world. After gaining fame on their reality show, “The Osbournes,” Jack ventured into acting, appearing in shows like “Dawson’s Creek” and movies such as “New York Minute” alongside Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. He also participated in various reality and competition shows, including “Union Jack,” “Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie,” “Dancing With the Stars,” and “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
In addition to acting, Jack has been involved behind the camera as a producer. He produced documentaries like “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne” in 2011 and the 2013 series “Alpha Dogs.” He often takes on dual roles, both producing and starring in shows such as “Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour” and his paranormal series “Portals to Hell.”
Jack has been open about sharing his personal life with fans, discussing topics like his mental health struggles, his journey towards sobriety in 2003, and his multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2012. In an interview with “Today” in 2017, he expressed gratitude for his diagnosis, viewing it as a silver lining. He shared that before the diagnosis, he would often laze around, but now he cherishes every day and is always striving to accomplish something.
Jack is also thankful for his family, which includes daughters Pearl, Andy, Minnie with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and daughter Maple with wife Aree Gearheart.
Ozzy’s older children from his marriage to Thelma, particularly Jessica and Louis, acknowledged that they didn’t spend much time with their father due to his frequent tours. In the 2011 documentary “God Bless Ozzy Osbourne”, Jessica described her childhood as erratic because of Ozzy’s travel schedule. When he was home, Ozzy often went to pubs, but Louis noted that when he wasn’t drunk, he was a good father, though that happened infrequently.
After their parents’ separation, the family stayed connected. There was an episode of “The Osbournes” where Ozzy learned that Jessica had given birth and became a grandfather for the first time. Louis also mentioned occasional meetings with his siblings Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
Ozzy travels less now than he used to, making it more likely for him to see his children in random encounters rather than family gatherings like Sunday lunches. They typically catch up on Sundays via phone calls, and when Ozzy visits the UK, they spend time together. Ozzy is also said to be a loving grandfather.
Details about Louis and Jessica’s brother Elliot are not widely available in public records.
