Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy lives on.
Seven months after Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic Black Sabbath singer, passed away at 76 following a battle with Parkinson’s disease, his son Jack Osbourne and his wife Aree Gearhart welcomed a daughter. They named her Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, honoring the rock legend.
In a March 11th Instagram post, Jack announced the birth of his son, Ozzy, who was born on March 5th weighing 7 pounds and 12 ounces. A cute detail? The baby slept next to a stuffed bat – a nod to his late father’s famous on-stage bat-biting incident back in 1982.
Aree announced the birth of her daughter, affectionately calling her ‘Ozzy Matilda Osbourne,’ on Instagram. She also shared a sweet photo of herself and the baby wearing matching pink pajamas.

Just three months ago, he shared some wonderful news – he and his partner, Aree, are expanding their family! He’s already a dad to Maple, who’s three, and has three other daughters – Pearl (13), Andy (10), and Minnie (7) – with his ex-wife, Lisa Stelly. He’s openly shared that this new chapter is bringing him a lot of joy, especially as he continues to navigate the grief of losing his own father. It’s a beautiful example of how family can be a source of strength and healing.
He explained to The Sun on Sunday in December that working on this has been both a welcome distraction and a way to start healing. He described it as a complete process, and said it shifted his focus away from grief and towards a more hopeful outlook.
The 40-year-old confirmed he had the chance to tell Ozzy Osbourne – who is also a father to Aimee, 42, and Kelly Osbourne, 41, with Sharon, and Louis, Jessica, and Elliot Osbourne with his ex-wife Thelma Riley – about his daughter Aree’s pregnancy before Ozzy passed away.
We’re really happy about it, and it was something we’d been considering for a while,” Jack explained. “It just happened a bit sooner than we anticipated.
He explained that they had been hoping to make it happen, and were thrilled it worked out so unexpectedly.
