Jack White’s Daughter Scarlett Is His Twin in Rare Appearance

Jack White has fully stepped into the 21st century. 

Only a few months after getting his first cell phone, Jack White, frontman of The White Stripes, joined TikTok. He made his debut at the request of his 19-year-old daughter, Scarlett, who he shares with his ex-wife, Karen Elson.

In a video posted on October 4th, Scarlett introduced her boyfriend, Jack, to her parents. The video, captioned “Meet the Parents,” shows the group dancing to Prince’s “When Doves Cry.” Jack stands with his arms crossed, playfully smirking as Scarlett and her mom lip-sync the song’s lyrics while they dance.

Scarlett shared a video showing how many tries it took to get the perfect shot, revealing it was the twentieth take.

Jack White, known for the song “Seven Nation Army,” posted a video celebrating his daughter’s first appearance at Paris Fashion Week. She walked in the Ann Demeulemeester show on October 4th. White also shares an 18-year-old son, Henry, with Karen.

Jack shared on Instagram on October 4th that he was in Paris with his family – including @scarbarbar and @misskarenelson – celebrating Scarlett’s runway debut for @anndemeulemeester_official. He joked that their frequent Saturday singalongs were finally captured on video, and he shared the footage with the post.

Cosigning on her family’s moment, Karen commented, “Keeping it real in this family.”

The singer-songwriter, who is married to Lee Foster, also celebrated several of her daughter’s achievements while in Paris.

Scarlett recently made her first appearance on the runway at the Valentino Spring 2025 show during New York Fashion Week. Although she’s just beginning her fashion career, her mother has emphasized that she doesn’t need to pursue the same path as either of her well-known parents.

Karen Johansson told *Vogue* in March that her daughter, Scarlett, was naturally inclined towards creative pursuits – admitting her family wasn’t particularly sporty. However, she emphasized to Scarlett that everyone’s creative journey is unique. She wants Scarlett to forge her own path, separate from those of her parents, brother, or friends.

Scarlett says her mom was instrumental in helping her make important contacts early in her career, but then wisely stepped back and let her manage things independently.

Scarlett expressed her appreciation for the supportive people she works with, especially those who’ve helped her establish healthy boundaries and build a sustainable modeling career, avoiding the risk of burnout, as she shared in a recent interview with her mother.
