Jackass 5 will be the end of an era.
Originally a TV show on MTV in 2000, Jackass quickly became a hit series of movies. Creator Johnny Knoxville and his friends became famous for performing dangerous and often outrageous stunts to entertain viewers. A fifth Jackass movie has been confirmed and is scheduled to be released sometime in 2026.
I was reading an interview with Johnny Knoxville in Rolling Stone, and he pretty much confirmed what a lot of us fans were dreading: the next Jackass movie will be the last one. He said, and I quote, “This will be the last one.” But then he added, with his typical humor, that it’s the right place to end things, and that it’s going to be ‘absolutely awful’ – which, knowing those guys, probably means it’ll be absolutely amazing!
