Jacob Elordi is feeling euphoric about his future.
And that future also involves having children. The Euphoria actor explained that he definitely wants to expand his family when he feels ready.
“My biggest wish is to give my own children the same kind of upbringing I experienced,” Jacob shared with WSJ. Magazine in a recent interview published on September 30th. “That would bring me immense joy.”
Considering he’s 28 and recently fueled rumors of getting back together with ex Olivia Jade at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of his film Frankenstein, he clearly learned from great examples set by his parents, Melissa Elordi and John Elordi.
“She’s an angel,” Jacob gushed of the matriarch. “She’s the greatest person I’ve ever met.”
He emphasized, “Her sole purpose in life—self-appointed—is being a mother.”
At the same time, his father provides stability at home, with the Priscilla actor explaining that he’s incredibly calm, a source of inspiration, and truly remarkable.
Growing up, Jacob-who was passionate about both sports and acting-felt a lot more confident because of his strong relationship with his parents.
My dad was proud of me when I played rugby,” he told GQ in August 2022. “My mom was proud when I was involved in theater. If I could satisfy both of those parts of my upbringing, I figured I couldn’t fail. It might seem like I’m saying that with the benefit of looking back, but I actually felt that way even then.
I still feel it even now. I’m hoping that’s what comes across in my work on Euphoria,” he explained. “It’s a combination of strength and emotion. I’m aiming for the spirit of Montgomery Clift and Marlon Brando.”
Although John is very proud of how quickly Jacob has become successful, he’s still a little cautious as a father and wants to see how his son’s career develops. He’s hopeful, but remains realistically optimistic.

Jacob has always been incredibly self-confident, but as parents, we naturally tried to be realistic, and we really were,” John told The Daily Mail in March 2022. “He always had a clear idea of what he wanted to do. As his father, I remember telling him, ‘Son, becoming an actor is an extremely rare achievement.’
This didn’t discourage the Wuthering Heights actor, as John remembers Jacob responding, “You know, why not me? Why can’t I be the one in a million?”
He approached everything with such assurance. Therefore, as parents, we fully supported him and had faith in his judgment,” he finished. “I’m aware of how dedicated Jake is, so if he continues to work as hard as he does – and I’m certain he will – he’ll be able to accomplish anything he sets out to do.
