Here is an overview of the game, via Rock It Games:

About

Released in 1989 for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Bases Loaded II: Second Season was innovative for its Player Performance Ratings. These ratings aimed to realistically reflect how players experience hot streaks and slumps throughout a baseball season. Each batter and pitcher was assessed in three areas – Physical, Sensitivity, and Intellectual – and these ratings would change over time. This system added a strategic element, forcing managers to decide when a struggling player needed a break.

Released by Jaleco, Super Bases Loaded II was the second baseball game for the Super Nintendo. It allowed players to save stats for all 14 teams – including two fictional leagues and four customizable teams – thanks to a battery backup. Notably, it was the first SNES baseball game to use a DSP-1 chip, creating 3D-like camera angles with Mode 7 graphics.

The Jaleco Sports: Bases Loaded II collection includes a total of five baseball games. This compilation features both the US version (Bases Loaded II: Second Season for NES, 1989) and the original Japanese version (Moero!! Pro Yakyuu ’88 Kettei Ban for Famicom, 1988). It also includes three Super Nintendo games: Super Bases Loaded II (US, 1994), Super 3D Baseball (Japan, 1992), and Hanguk Pro Yagu (Korea, 1994).
