
James Gunn is a major director in Hollywood, known for his work on Marvel and DC films. However, before those blockbusters, he directed a single horror movie early in his career, and it’s now available to watch for free this December.
After working on films like Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead remake and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, James Gunn launched his directing career in 2006 with the horror comedy Slither, which he also wrote. The movie follows a small town in South Carolina that’s overrun by an alien creature intent on consuming all life. It features Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Tania Saulnier, Gregg Henry, and Michael Rooker, and became available on Tubi’s free streaming service on December 1st.
