When asked if any of these unscheduled initiatives were linked to what the Blue Brand had previously disclosed, Gunn replied that they were primarily “things not yet revealed,” including a specific project he’s been planning since the start, which he kept secret because it was “easy for another company to copy.

My favorite project hasn’t been revealed yet, although some scripts have leaked. However, there are two other scripts that remain unknown. Mostly, it’s about unveiling what people don’t know… A few of the projects [planned for January 2023] are progressing well and will likely be released, but there was one project I had in mind from the start when I pitched my vision for DCU to David Zaslav. We didn’t announce it during our first meeting because I felt another company could easily replicate it. That’s a significant aspect of what we’re working on.

Following the release of James Gunn’s Superman, initiating the DCU on July 11, there is still a lot of uncertainty about what lies ahead for the franchise. Fans are aware that they can expect John Cena’s Peacemaker Season 2 in August, the Supergirl movie starring Milly Alcock in June 2026, and both Clayface in September 2026, as well as HBO’s Lanterns series sometime next year.
