James McAvoy & Wife Lisa Liberati Privately Welcomed Baby Boy

James McAvoy has welcomed a new gifted youngster to his home. 

Actor James McAvoy, known for his role in X-Men: Days of Future Past, recently revealed he and his wife, Lisa Liberati, secretly welcomed a son four years ago. He shared that becoming a father again at age 42 felt, in some ways, more manageable than when he and his ex-wife, Anne-Marie Duff, had their son, Brendon, who is now 15, back in 2010.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, published on March 31st, James said he’s been feeling less anxious and more thoughtful.

“But it’s also harder,” he continued, “because you’re just older and tireder.”

The 46-year-old explained that he and Lisa primarily live in London, but they also spend some time in Philadelphia, where Lisa’s family is located.

James and Lisa met in 2016, shortly after James ended his relationship with Anne-Marie. They were both working on the movie Split, where Lisa was an assistant to the director, M. Night Shyamalan.

The actor known for his role in Atonement revealed they got married in 2022. He told The Guardian that he considered Philadelphia to be like a second home.

James has always tried to keep his private life private, and this was particularly true after his split from Anne-Marie.

He told Mr. Porter in 2017 that his life had changed dramatically, but many things remained constant. Notably, he still preferred to keep his personal life private.

He shared that he and the Bad Sisters actress, age 55, decided this together while they were married.

James explained that he and Anne-Marie had an understanding during their relationship: they wouldn’t discuss each other publicly. He said they almost always kept to that rule, only occasionally mentioning small details – like their Christmas dinner plans. He confirmed that they still maintain this privacy even now.

He added that even though they are no longer together, they continue to treat each other with respect, both in public and in private.
