Jana Duggar Gives Birth, Welcomes First Baby With Stephen Wissmann

Jana Duggar is counting a new member of her family. 

The reality TV star announced the birth of her and husband Stephen Wissmann‘s first child, Archie Gerald Wissmann, who arrived in late December.

Jana and Stephen recently announced the arrival of their son, Archie Gerald Wissmann, who was born on December 30, 2025. In an Instagram post, they shared that they wanted to adjust to life with their new baby before sharing the happy news, and that he has brought immense joy and gratitude into their lives. They are currently enjoying these first precious weeks as a family.

The couple announced they were expecting in August with a trio of photos showing off Jana’s bump. 

The couple announced on Instagram on August 18th that they are expecting a baby in January 2026. They expressed their excitement and said they can’t wait to start this new adventure as a family.

Before Jana’s baby was born, her sister, Jessa Duggar Seewald, excitedly shared how happy she was to become an aunt again.

The mother of six shared her excitement on Instagram on August 18th, writing that she’s thrilled for her sister, Jana Duggar, and Stephen Wissman. She said she can’t wait to meet the baby and plans to be the favorite aunt!

Jessa isn’t the only Duggar sister with a large following. She’s competing with her siblings – Jill Dillard, Joy-Anna Forsyth, Jinger Vuolo, Johannah Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordyn Duggar, and Josie Duggar – plus her seven sisters-in-law, all vying for attention.

Jana responded to comments on her Instagram story, jokingly saying, “Thanks! It looks like a few aunts are trying to claim that title!”

Jana and Stephen announced they are expecting a baby almost a year after their wedding. The couple married in August 2024 in Arkansas, celebrating with around 500 friends and family.

Jana shared with People magazine that getting married was something she’d always imagined. She admitted she’d started to lose hope that it would ever happen, but now that it was actually happening, it was finally becoming real. She was amazed to realize a long-held dream was coming true.
