Janelle Brown Details Her First Thanksgiving Without Late Son Garrison

As a lifestyle expert who has had the privilege of following the lives of many families through their highs and lows, I can truly empathize with Janelle Brown‘s heartache during this Thanksgiving season. Losing a child is an unimaginable sorrow that no one should ever have to endure.

Janelle Brown is thankful for the memories.

The star from “Sister Wives” honored her deceased son, Garrison Brown, following the celebration of their first Thanksgiving since his passing in March.

On our first major holiday without you, my love, as seen in this old photo posted on Dec 1st. We got together in North Carolina to celebrate and held your picture close throughout the festivities.

“We had a great time reminiscing about your amusing humor and celebrating you, Janelle. You share Logan Brown, Madison Brush, Hunter Brown, Gabriel Brown, and Savanah Brown with your ex, Kody Brown. We ate, played games, and enjoyed each other’s company. Now everyone is going back home, and normal life resumes tomorrow. But I can still feel you close by.

On Thanksgiving Day, November 28, the 55-year-old woman posted a picture of her four eldest kids grinning at the supermarket. She wrote, “Shopping for groceries with them now is quite different from when they were young,” followed by a laughing emoji to indicate the nostalgia and change over the years.

After Janelle celebrated six months since Garrison, who took his own life at age 25, the Brown family is now preparing to reunite for their upcoming holiday celebration.

6 months have passed since you left, she posted on Instagram September 5th. Your face frequently appears in my photo memories. At times, it feels as if you’re still here. But then I recall that I won’t receive a call or message from you anymore, and all the feelings of your absence flood back.

Janelle said, “Despite your valiant effort, it seems you ultimately had to move on. I care for you deeply and can’t wait to be reunited with you once my own path concludes.

Garrison’s oldest sister Madison also honored her brother at the time.

In her Instagram post, she expressed that her brother, Garrison, faced challenges that none of us anticipated. Despite our frequent conversations and the strong bond between my mother’s children, we were all caught off guard by his situation. Even as life evolved, our family remained close-knit.

In a playful manner, Garrison was both sarcastic and quick-witted. Yet, during serious times, there was an apparent discomfort about him, as if exposing vulnerability was difficult for him. Madison added poignantly, “He seemed to struggle with being open. I deeply miss him.

In the recently aired Season 19 premiere of Sister Wives, they paid tribute to Garrison, although it was recorded a year ago.

As your trusted lifestyle guide, I’m here to share some recent updates from our favorite show, ‘Sister Wives’. Filming for the latest season commenced towards the end of 2022. However, a profoundly sad event took place on March 5, 2024, when Kody and Janelle’s beloved son, Garrison, left us too soon. His absence is deeply felt, and he will remain in our hearts forever.
