Netflix has been quietly securing rights to some great movies that other companies were previously holding onto. Surprisingly, MGM – now owned by Amazon and Prime Video – is now licensing films to Netflix again, both in the US and internationally. Recent additions include popular titles like Bottoms, House of Gucci, and Bones & All.

Netflix and MGM have a history of collaboration. MGM Television produced the hugely popular Netflix series Wednesday, which premiered in 2022 and is set to return for a third season around mid-2027. Netflix has exclusive rights to Wednesday throughout its entire run, and will continue to have those rights for ten years after the show ends, demonstrating a strong and successful partnership between the two companies.
