Jason Kelce is still enchanted by his first meeting with Taylor Swift.
Responding to a fan-created lawn display celebrating his viral shirtless incident at the January 2024 Kansas City Chiefs game versus the Buffalo Bills, where he also encountered Travis Kelce’s girlfriend for the first time, the former Philadelphia Eagles player reminisced about the remarkable experience.
During the July 23rd episode of their “New Heights” podcast, Jason, aged 37, shared with Travis, also 35, that spending six hours socializing and drinking with Bills Mafia prior to the game had left him extremely thrilled. In simpler terms, he declared, “That was one incredibly enjoyable day.
He also mentioned another significant moment, saying, “That was the first time I met your girlfriend. Therefore, it was a memorable occasion.
Additionally, it was Travis who played brilliantly on the field, resulting in the well-known, exuberant cheer from Jason as he hoisted a beer, a moment that has since become iconic. Needless to say, Travis took pleasure in contributing to this enduring memory.

Certainly, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as this was the first occasion when Taylor could enjoy a game together with Jason and his partner Kylie Kelce, following their relationship becoming public knowledge in the autumn after she confirmed her romance with Travis.
On her side, Kylie (a mother of five: Wyatt, aged 5; Elliotte, aged 4; Bennett, aged 2; and Finn, just 4 months old, all shared with Jason) had earlier reminisced about the time they met and revealed the reason behind their paths crossing so late.
In a podcast called “Call Her Daddy” in February, Kylie clarified some misunderstandings about her past. People had been wondering why she hadn’t met someone before, and if there was avoidance involved. However, Kylie made it clear that she wasn’t avoiding anyone. Essentially, he felt a bit upset because he wasn’t able to give her one of the handmade bracelets he created for her.
Following his on-stage blunder, which Travis himself labeled as “rock solid,” Travis boldly extended an invitation to the Grammy-winning artist, suggesting they attend the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium together.
He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an offer, essentially saying “I tossed it over to you, I threw the ball into your court”. He told her, “You know, I’ve seen you shine on stage at Arrowhead. Maybe it’s time for you to come see me do the same and we can both see who shines brighter.” So, we’ll have to wait and see what unfolds in the coming days.
Travis had been sporting a mustache since August, as seen during his training camp, when he met Taylor for the first time.
Later on, he commented about that period, “For a while, the mustache and the number 87 were quite iconic, and I was sporting them when I first encountered Taylor.
According to a reliable source, by early September, Travis and Taylor were exchanging texts occasionally and having brief conversations.
“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I gladly accepted an invitation from Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce, to join her at Arrowhead Stadium for an exhilarating football match between Travis and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, against the Chicago Bears. Post-game, it was delightful to witness a heartwarming moment as I found myself, along with Travis, sharing some quality time at a local watering hole.
Despite popular belief suggesting they met for the first time in person, the “Karma” singer revealed later on that they actually had a considerable period of time to get acquainted with each other prior to their encounter.
As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

On New Year’s Eve for the first time, Taylor and Travis celebrated together, exchanging a loving kiss as the clock chimed midnight on January 1st.
Taylor continued deepening her connection with Travis’ family, spending time with his brother, Jason Kelce, and his sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, during the Chiefs’ matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

At the seventh Eras tour concert he attended in London’s Wembley Stadium, and being it his second time there, the NFL player took part in his girlfriend’s act as a supporting artist when she sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”.
Taylor attended the first game of the 2024-25 regular season with Travis, and a snapshot from that event seems to recreate a public display of affection (PDA) similar to one they had in October 2023. This photo was shared by Chariah Gordon, who is seen alongside her boyfriend, Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman, in the image.
They were present at the wedding of Karen Elson, who tied the knot with Lee Foster, the proprietor of Electric Lady Studios, which took place in the city of New York.
The next day, the pair attended the men’s singles final match at the U.S. Open.
The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.
Over the final weekend of 2024, the duo enjoyed two consecutive outings in New York City. On both occasions, they were dressed identically.
