Koei Tecmo is releasing a beautifully updated version of its classic PlayStation 2 game, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly, on March 12th. The game is a survival horror experience centered around photography.
You can now pre-order the completely rebuilt game on the PlayStation Store. A Digital Deluxe Edition is also available, and it comes with a digital soundtrack, artbook, and new outfits for the main characters, Mio and Mayu, plus other in-game cosmetic items.

Mio and Mayu Amakura, twin sisters, stumble upon a deserted and haunted village overrun by spirits. They use a unique camera called the Camera Obscura – which can trap the supernatural – to battle these dangerous entities.
This game has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, with all textures and details recreated. The developers drew inspiration from the PS2 game ICO, adding a feature where the two sisters can hold hands to help each other and build a stronger connection.
The Camera Obscura, a central part of the gameplay, has been improved with features like zoom, filters, and the ability to adjust focus.
If you liked the unique and scary atmosphere of Silent Hill F, you’ll definitely want to add this game to your wishlist.
