With the new X-Men movie coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans are speculating about which incredibly powerful mutants – known as omega-level mutants – will appear. Disney’s acquisition of Twentieth Century Fox has given Marvel access to a large number of these characters, and excitement is building for the film.
Here’s a list of Omega-level heroes that could be added to the X-Men movie.
List of Omega-level mutants expected to be in MCU’s X-Men reboot
With Marvel restarting its X-Men series, they have a chance to introduce many powerful, top-tier mutants in the films. While Marvel hasn’t confirmed any additions, including these characters could significantly impact the future of the franchise.
Jean Grey
Jean Grey, originally known as Marvel Girl, was one of the very first members of the X-Men. She’s an incredibly powerful mutant with abilities like telekinesis – the power to move objects with her mind – and telepathy, which allows her to read the thoughts of others. As she gains more control over her powers, she transforms into the Phoenix, a truly formidable mutant in the Marvel Universe.
Professor X
As a huge X-Men fan, I’m so glad Professor X is back! He’s the one who started it all, and things just aren’t the same without him. His mental powers are incredible – he can read minds, change memories, and even take over people’s bodies. Plus, with Cerebro and how brilliant he is, I really believe he’s going to be key to where Marvel takes the X-Men and all their mutant stories in the future.
Magneto
As a huge X-Men fan, I’m not at all surprised Magneto’s going to be in the new movie – he *is* the original villain, after all! Seriously, the guy is incredibly powerful. I mean, controlling metal isn’t even the half of it. He can create these amazing force fields, even open up wormholes using magnetism, and it’s really tough to get inside his head – he can resist telepathy, which is wild!
Franklin Richards
Franklin Richards was introduced as a baby in The Fantastic Four: The First Steps. While Marvel hasn’t officially labeled him a mutant yet, that could change in the future. He has incredible powers, including the ability to reshape reality, make thoughts real, and even create universes.
Monarch
As a huge MCU fan, I’m really excited about the potential of the Braddock family! We’ve heard about Captain Britain and Psylocke, which would be amazing, but I think their brother, Jamie Braddock – also known as Monarch – could be a real game-changer. He’s an omega-level mutant, meaning he’s incredibly powerful, and his ability to actually *change* reality by messing with the very fabric of quantum strings sounds absolutely mind-blowing on screen. I’d love to see that!
Storm
Storm, who’s been established as a goddess of thunder in the animated series *What If…?*, is hinted to be joining the main Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her unique background-combining magical heritage with powerful mutant abilities-offers exciting possibilities for showcasing her incredible powers in live-action.
Iceman
Fox didn’t fully showcase Iceman’s potential, despite him being a significant member of the X-Men. He could play a major role in future Marvel Cinematic Universe stories, thanks to his abilities like forming ice shields, transforming into water or mist, and gaining power from water sources.
Vulcan
Gabriel Summers, the lesser-known brother of Scott and Alex Summers, is a remarkably powerful mutant named Vulcan. Classified as an omega-level mutant, he possesses incredible energy control and the unique ability to absorb powers from other mutants, making him a compelling character to introduce to the series.
