Jelly Roll’s Wife Bunnie Xo Reveals “Coolest Part” of His Weight Loss

Jelly Roll is more than OK after his 200-pound weight loss, according to his wife Bunnie Xo.

The host of the Dumb Blonde podcast really likes the new shaved head of the singer behind “I Am Not Okay.” He recently showed it off as a way to celebrate his progress with getting in shape.

Bunnie shared with Extra that her husband shaved his face after 20 years. She said the most touching moment was watching him see his freshly shaven face in the mirror and rediscover his self-love.

She explained that constantly struggling with his weight and facing daily teasing had a damaging effect on his self-esteem. Living with that constant pressure was incredibly difficult for him.

I’m hearing from my client, Bunnie, that her husband – they’ve been married nine years – is getting a lot of positive attention lately. She says people are telling him he looks fantastic – things like ‘You look so hot,’ ‘You look so healthy,’ and even ‘I’m so proud of you.’ It’s wonderful to see how his transformation is impacting those around him!

“That just lifts his spirit so much,” she added. “So, being able to see him look in that mirror and be like, ‘Yeah I’m hot,’ was cool. I’m proud of him.”

And for Jelly Roll, slimming down has also improved his sex life with Bunnie.

Let me tell you, finding the right partner can truly change your life. I recently shared on the Joe Rogan Experience that my wife is the kind of person who can lift your spirits even when you’re at your lowest. But honestly, for a while there, things were…complicated. I’d gotten myself into pretty bad shape, and it affected my intimacy. It got to the point where, well, let’s just say sex felt more like an awkward physical challenge – I was contorting myself just to make things work! I was constantly asking if things felt okay, and it was just a really uncomfortable situation for both of us. It wasn’t ideal, and I realized I needed to make a change.

As for what motivated him to drop the pounds?

The country music star shared that he felt like he was facing death, revealing he’d had several heart problems before turning 39. He realized he needed to get his health under control, saying, ‘I really need to figure this out.’

Jelly Roll isn’t the only celebrity prioritizing their health. Here’s a look at other stars who have been open about their weight loss experiences.

The Bravo host detailed his health and fitness journey using an Ozempic-like drug.

During a September 2025 episode of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, the 57-year-old revealed he’d lost a significant amount of weight over the summer by using a GLP-1 medication. He explained he’d been unhappy with his weight and, after discussing it with his doctor last year, decided to try a GLP-1. The medication was recommended not just for weight loss, but also to help with plaque buildup in his arteries and high blood pressure, offering several health benefits. He ultimately agreed to start the treatment.

He explained that it was a big help in managing his cravings, which had been a real struggle, and motivated him to be more disciplined with his diet and exercise.

The singer shared in November 2024 that he had lost 120 pounds.

Jelly Roll explained he openly shared his personal challenges because he wants to be honest with others about his struggles, as he discussed on his wife Bunnie XO’s podcast, Dumb Blonde.

He explained that his success wasn’t because of his weight, but rather despite it – he overcame that challenge to achieve his goals.

The talk show host says she’s feeling healthier and has lost weight after learning she was pre-diabetic. She told People magazine that she’s been following her doctor’s advice, something she hadn’t done consistently for a couple of years. She also mentioned that eating a protein-rich diet works well for her and she sticks to it most of the time.

She is a Texas girlie after all, “so I like meat—sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

The mother of River and Remington is settling into her new life in New York City and enjoying the change of pace. She joked that walking around the city is a great way to stay active, and she’s been focusing on wellness, recently getting into infrared saunas and even a cold plunge after friends convinced her to try it.

She decided against taking the popular weight loss drugs, even though her doctor encouraged her for two years. ‘I was scared of the side effects, especially since I already have thyroid issues,’ she shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024. While many assume it was Ozempic, she clarified it was a different medication—one that helps her body process sugar more effectively.

Everyone’s getting health advice from a media icon who’s feeling fantastic! She shared her secrets with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that it’s not just one thing that keeps her healthy—it’s a combination of treadmill workouts, hiking, drinking plenty of water, and eating well. She emphasized that it’s everything working together.

Oprah Winfrey recently shared that she’s using a weight loss medication, though she hasn’t disclosed which one. In an interview with People magazine, she expressed immense relief at having a medically approved option for managing her weight and improving her health, something she feels is a ‘gift’ and not something to be ashamed of. She stated she’s finished with both external and self-inflicted shaming surrounding her weight.

The HGTV personality demonstrated a remarkable life change, sharing details of his two-year fitness journey in an Instagram post from July 2023.

He explained that sometimes what feels right isn’t what you actually need to improve – you might need a new direction. While he used to occasionally do hot yoga with his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, he realized he hadn’t been consistently working out, monitoring his diet, or getting professional advice.

Nutritionist Sean Torbati says he’s focused on healthy eating and doing hot yoga once or twice a week to improve his mental and physical well-being. He believes that staying motivated and persistent is key to success.

Honestly, it all clicked for me when I finally understood how much I needed to prioritize feeling good and staying healthy – not just for myself, but for my family and to enjoy a long life. That was the moment I really committed and started putting in the effort!

The cohost of The View shared that she used Mounjaro, a drug for type 2 diabetes, to lose weight after gaining weight in 2021.

She revealed on a recent talk show that she once weighed close to 300 pounds. She explained that she had previously used steroids and other substances, but has since lost weight with the help of a medication called Mounjaro, which she currently uses.

The Grammy-winning artist is aware people noticed her impressive weight loss journey. She attributes her transformation to a combination of things, including changes to her diet and exercise routine, and the use of a weight loss medication known as a GLP-1.

In a March 2025 Instagram post, she shared that she’s feeling fantastic after making significant changes to her lifestyle following her second pregnancy. These changes included working with a nutritionist, exercising with a trainer, and using medication (specifically mentioning Mounjaro) along with other support systems.

The reality TV personality is confident in her appearance, regardless of what others think. She recently addressed rumors about weight loss, posting on Instagram in February, “I really don’t like talking about this, but I haven’t had any surgery or medical procedures to lose weight.”

Although she’s lost 100 pounds, bringing her weight down from 385 to 285, including 50 pounds after her mother, Barbara “Babs” Thore, passed away in December 2022, she’s been at this weight for nearly a year.

Simply put, she said she appreciated the compliments, but she doesn’t like focusing on appearances – either her own or anyone else’s.

The actress, knowing she’s considered attractive no matter where she goes, recently shared her thoughts on body image in an Instagram post last February.

The Food Network host shared a bikini photo from 2014 and talked about body image, saying she weighs 150 pounds despite being 5’4″. She explained she no longer weighs herself, as societal standards define that weight as ‘overweight,’ something she finds frustrating and that she used to believe.

Free from the stress of dieting, she realized she was a kind, funny, and thoughtful person. She emphasized that your worth and personality shouldn’t be defined by your size or weight – you are valuable and perfect just as you are.

As for anyone that might not agree, she summed up, “F–k ‘em.”

The musician says he feels fantastic and like a rockstar after losing 55 pounds. In an April 2023 Instagram post, he admitted people have been asking about his weight loss and how it affects his performances. He shared that he’s really enjoying performing and feels healthier than ever.

He explained that becoming a father in 2022 was a major source of motivation. He decided to quit soda and improve his diet, wanting to be healthy and present for his daughter for many years to come. He plans to tackle quitting smoking and drinking alcohol next, but considers himself a patient person and is taking things one step at a time.

She admitted feeling a lot of pressure to lose weight after having her son, Sidney, in November 2022. She told TopMob News that losing 85 pounds became her main focus. She explained she was so focused on it because she wanted to avoid people talking about her body and just be left alone.

She’s not suggesting everyone follow her intense method, but she’s pleased with how it worked for her. “It took a lot of effort, and honestly, it wasn’t enjoyable,” she explained. “I was constantly hungry, but the results were worth it.”

The actor, known for his role in Roseanne, has experienced many ups and downs with his health. He used to lose a significant amount of weight—60 to 70 pounds—over three months, then fall back into unhealthy habits. As he explained in 2017, he’s now taking a different approach, focusing on gradual change through movement and exercise. He feels it’s important to stay active as he gets older.

He’s kept off 200 pounds by making healthy choices: he walks a lot and eats a Mediterranean diet focused on fish, vegetables, and nuts. He told Men’s Health it feels like a constant effort to stay healthy, but he enjoys the process.

Following a type 2 diabetes diagnosis and the loss of his father and brother to heart attacks, the host of The Price Is Right decided to improve his diet and focus on healthy eating.

He told Entertainment Tonight that his secret to success was cutting out all carbohydrates. He explained he avoids everything from bread and pizza to corn and beans, and even limits himself to egg whites or Greek yogurt with a little fruit for breakfast. He admitted to a few slip-ups, but generally sticks to a completely carb-free diet, not even allowing a single cracker.

And to wash it all down, “I don’t drink anything but water,” he said. “No coffee, no tea, no soda.”

After losing an incredible 440 pounds, the star of 1000-lb Sisters has achieved some amazing new experiences, which have been shared on her TLC show. She’s now been able to fly on an airplane, buckle her seatbelt comfortably, ride in the front seat of a car, enjoy a hot air balloon ride, and experience the attractions at Disney World.

In a recent TikTok video, Slaton shared how much it means to her to be able to do everyday things like buckle a seatbelt without needing an extension. She explained that she hadn’t been able to manage simple tasks like that for years, and doesn’t take those abilities for granted.

I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished,” the reality star explained. “I’ve worked hard to lose weight and now I’m finally enjoying life to the fullest.”

The Vanderpump Rules star is focusing on health and wellness. She’s back on the Jenny Craig plan and hoping to see progress, but she shared with TopMob News in February that her main goal is to be a healthy role model for her son. While losing weight would be nice, she wants to show her and Jax Taylor’s son, Cruz, how to live a healthy lifestyle.

The future star of The Valley explained, “I really want to model a healthy lifestyle for him. Exercise is a big part of my life and helps me feel good mentally. It’s important to me to be on a positive, healthy path.”

All her hard work and dedication to strength training has clearly paid off for the musician, resulting in a noticeably stronger and more toned physique.

In 2023, the star shared with People magazine how far they’ve come. They explained that staying fit is now just a normal part of their life, and they’ve made a consistent effort to prioritize their health and exercise regularly.

She’s been working really hard, and mentioned she might start offering intense fitness classes soon, which she’s calling ‘Hottie Bootcamp.’ She described it as a challenging workout with exercises like deadlifts, jump rope, lunges, and mountain climbers. In one video, she joked about how tough it was, saying, ‘It really burns!’ but added that it’s great for building strong legs.

When the pandemic began in March 2020, just a few months after the actress had her first daughter, Atlas, she admitted to feeling incredibly unmotivated. She told TopMob News that with everything stopping, she just decided to let go of trying.

She abandoned her workout routine and healthy eating habits when the chaos of 2020 began. After a few months of enjoying some flexibility after giving birth, she fell into a pattern of consistently eating unhealthy food, and she started to feel unhappy with her body as a result.

She was excited but also a little unsure when she first heard about trying Openfit’s 4 Weeks of Focus program with trainer Kelsey Heenan.

After consistently starting her days for a month with warm water and lemon, followed by 30 minutes of varied exercise – including HIIT, cardio, and strength training – she realized she loved it. She explained she’s adopted a flexible approach to healthy eating, allowing herself treats while still making good choices. “I was amazed,” she said, adding that despite being active her whole life, she’d never lifted heavier weights before.

The fitness influencer, known online as Fat Girl Fed Up, recently shared on Instagram that she didn’t reach her weight goal of dropping below 200 pounds. Despite this, she decided to focus on her progress and still celebrate her achievements. She believes it’s important not to dwell on minor setbacks when working towards a healthier lifestyle.

She reminded herself that any step forward counts, even if it’s a small one. She knew she’d put in a lot of effort this week, and that was okay. She figured it took time to gain weight, so losing it would take time too. She resolved to just keep moving forward, regardless of the challenges.

She’s confident she can achieve her health goals. “I’m going to reach my ideal state,” she declared, “whether it takes a week or a year, we’ll get there eventually. Just keep moving forward, believe in yourself, and focus on making progress, not striving for perfection.”

I’ve been following this Queer Eye star’s fitness journey, and it’s been amazing to watch! They really wanted to build their strength to take on more challenging gymnastics moves, and honestly, they’ve absolutely nailed it. It’s inspiring to see how far they’ve come with their health and fitness goals!

In an August 2022 TikTok, they revealed they’d been working with a nutritionist since April and had lost 35 pounds. They explained the weight loss was driven by a desire to improve their physique for gymnastics and their career.

They did warn, though, not to expect immediate results. The author of Love That Story shared that it took three weeks of consistent effort before they noticed any difference. So, if you’re trying to change your fitness or diet, be prepared to commit for at least three weeks before seeing results.

Before turning thirty in 2022, the former Disney Channel star decided to start a new workout plan.

The actor, who is married to model Barbara Palvin, shared on Instagram that he used to be self-conscious enough to wear a shirt while swimming as a child. He explained that this inspired him in his late twenties to focus on changing his physique and building muscle. He jokingly referred to the post as his ‘meat head post’.

He said it was a tough workout, combining weightlifting and kettlebells, but he’s happy with how far he’s come and still plans to keep going.

Everyone has ups and downs, and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned. This became clear when the actress openly shared on Instagram in January 2024 that she had regained about 13.6 kilograms after successfully reaching her goal weight of 75 kilograms in 2020.

I’m really bummed to hear that Rebel Wilson is struggling to maintain her health journey. She’s been so open about how much work she put into overcoming emotional eating and changing her diet to focus on protein, but she’s said filming is making it tough to keep up with her boxing and hiking, and she feels like she’s lost some focus.

Wilson confessed that stress caused them to gain weight, which negatively impacted their self-esteem. They acknowledged it wasn’t rational to feel this way, but admitted that it did.

Giving up his favorite beers? No problem. And dedicating himself to intense daily workouts – things like P90X, kickboxing, and running, as he told Men’s Journal? Absolutely.

For Chris Pratt, the hardest part of getting into superhero shape – losing 60 pounds – wasn’t the exercise, but the strict diet. He had to drink an ounce of water for every pound he weighed each day.

“I was peeing all day long, every day,” he explained. “That part was a nightmare,”

Even though he already had a recognizable face, as Cher Horowitz from Clueless might say, the actor understood why people were surprised to learn he’d be playing the new Marvel hero, Ant-Man.

Paul Rudd said that when people found out he was cast in the movie, the most common reaction was surprise. He recalled people thinking, ‘Paul Rudd as a superhero? Is that really happening?’ He shared this with Variety magazine in 2015.

He understood his task. He explained that he prepared like Chris Pratt does for action roles: cut out all enjoyable activities for a year, and then you can convincingly portray a hero.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what she did! After having her babies, she went right back to the South Beach Diet – it’s like, her go-to! She told TopMob News she saw results immediately! Seriously, she said she started the plan, worked out, and it was just… perfect. It’s amazing how she always bounces back, I’m so inspired!

Before anything else, she’s enjoying every moment of the time after giving birth. Decker, a mom to Vivianne, Eric Jr., Forrest, and Denver (born in February 2024), emphasizes, “I always tell mothers that losing weight should be the last thing you worry about.” She advises new moms to focus on feeding and loving their babies, and letting their bodies heal. “Listen to your body, not the pressure to lose weight. You’ll naturally know when you have the energy to start being active again.”

He’s happy with the results of his workouts, including getting a six-pack. He’s been training for 90 minutes at a time and eating a much healthier diet – lots of lean protein and vegetables, while avoiding sugary drinks like soda, as he told People magazine.

Honestly, one of the things that really motivates me is tackling a big bucket list. I’m a huge outdoors person, and I’ve got some specific adventures I’m working towards. For example, I’m getting in shape so I can climb those incredible rock faces in Yosemite. But a really huge goal of mine? Hiking the entire Pacific Crest Trail – that’s the one that runs along the West Coast, from Mexico all the way up to Canada and back! It’s a massive undertaking, but something I’m determined to achieve.

Oh my gosh, after she had little Kingsley in September 2022, she was so real with us! She posted on Instagram in January 2023 and basically said her body just isn’t going to be exactly how it was before, and you know what? She’s learning to be okay with that! It’s just… so relatable and amazing that she’s being so honest. I feel like so many fans can connect with that!

If she ever feels overwhelmed, she has a coping mechanism that’s just as helpful as getting back in shape after having a baby.

She told TopMob News that looking into her daughter’s eyes – whom she affectionately calls her ‘sweet angel’ – helps her focus on gratitude instead of dwelling on her own imperfections. She considers this a helpful trick, because it’s easy to be overly critical of yourself, no matter what you do.
