Bunnie Xo isn’t loving her immediate look after getting a facelift.
Alisa DeFord, the author of Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, recently shared details about her latest plastic surgery, including photos of the significant swelling she experienced during recovery.
Bunnie, who has been married to Jelly Roll since 2016, shared a before-and-after video of her cosmetic procedure on Instagram on March 15th. She jokingly wrote in the caption that she resembled Bert Kreischer.
The video initially showed the 46-year-old woman at the hospital, where lines were drawn on her forehead, cheeks, and chin for surgical planning. It then showed her resting in bed with her head bandaged as she recovered.
“I was asleep when the Bert bus happened. Would never make fun of my friends sadness,” Bunnie clarified in the comments section. “I was meaning bc I’m red and eyes are swollen.”
Bunnie anticipated the swelling, as she had previously told her followers she’d look dramatically different after her facelift.
She joked on her podcast, Dumb Blonde, on March 13th that she’d likely be covered in bruises and warned listeners not to be alarmed.
As for why Bunnie decided to go under the knife?
Oh my god, Dr. Gould actually explained what he did to her! He said she just wanted to lift that little bit of looseness around her neck, subtly tweak her cheeks, and bring back some volume she’d lost. And get this – a little work on her upper eyelids and temples to really refine her mid-face! It was all about enhancing what she already had, not changing her, and he just laid it all out! I’ve watched that Instagram video like, a million times.
Despite some bruising on her face from the surgery, the podcaster, Bunnie, is recovering well.
The doctor said the patient is very kind and considerate, and expressed gratitude that she agreed to let him discuss her case.

Let’s be real, post-pregnancy bodies are a journey! I was recently chatting with People magazine, and I shared something a lot of moms can relate to: I’m seeing definition in my abs again – even lines I hadn’t seen since before I was pregnant. It’s amazing, but it’s also a reminder that things do change after having kids. Our skin’s elasticity just isn’t quite the same, and that’s perfectly normal!

Let me share what I’ve had done, since so many have asked! It’s true, I get a little Botox – specifically, 11 units in my forehead, around my outer brows, and in my neck. I actually had my neck treated with Ellevate back in 2019 by @theneckdoctor. I’ve also had a tiny bit of lip filler because my face is small, and some filler in my chin. But honestly, that’s it! No filler anywhere else, and I definitely haven’t had any eyelid surgery yet. I hope that clears things up, and I promise to keep you all updated if I decide to get anything else done in the future.
