Who Is Cold Slither?

If you enjoyed the classic G.I. Joe cartoon, you might recall the episode “Cold Slither.” It featured a plot where Cobra created a covert team called Cold Slither, made up of members Zartan, Ripper, Torch, and Buzzer.

The music contained hidden messages designed to lure fans to a Cold Slither concert. This was part of Cobra’s scheme to make money – and gain leverage for future ransom demands. Surprisingly, the plan worked; even some G.I. Joe members like Shipwreck, Footloose, and Breaker found themselves attending the show.

Despite G.I. Joe constantly stopping Cobra’s schemes in fiction, the band Cold Slither – originally featured in the franchise – has become a reality. For G.I. Joe’s 40th anniversary, Hasbro partnered with Reigning Phoenix Music to form an actual band consisting of Gus Ríos (as Zartan), Matt Harvey (Ripper), Ross Sewage (Torch), and Andy Selway (Buzzer). The group has continued performing over the years, even playing at San Diego Comic-Con last year. Now they’re collaborating with Jim and the Holograms, and fans are excited to see what musical combinations come next.

Jem and the Holograms Has Experienced a Resurgence (And More Is On The Way)

Jem and the Holograms is back! After a year of renewed interest, the franchise is growing with new comic books from BOOM! Studios – a new series is planned for release this year. Plus, fans can now collect a fresh line of Jem, Jerrica, and Synergy toys from The Loyal Subjects.

Another exciting development is a planned reboot of the franchise for Prime Video. The project will be led by Kilter Films, the team behind the popular live-action Fallout series. This suggests a strong chance of success for a new Jem series on the streaming platform.
