Jen Affleck isn’t living a secret life when it comes to her friendship with Whitney Leavitt.
With talk swirling about a falling-out between the stars of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives—some of whom are currently competing on Dancing With the Stars—Jen recently shared whether she’s still in contact with Whitney.
Jen, who was eliminated on the October 28th Halloween episode of Dancing with the Stars, told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News in an exclusive interview that she and her dance partner are no longer close. “Unfortunately, some things happened, so we’ve just taken a step back,” she explained.
Despite not revealing exactly what happened, the 26-year-old said they both made an effort to avoid showing their disagreement publicly, especially while at the event.
Jen explained that appearing on Dancing With the Stars was a long-held dream for both of them, and she especially wanted the experience to be enjoyable and free of conflict, keeping any drama contained to their other show. However, she admitted there were times when it was difficult to keep the two worlds separate and prevent issues from affecting Dancing With the Stars.
She finished by saying she was genuinely happy for the other woman and that it was a dream come true for her. Despite their strained relationship, she really hoped the other woman would do well in the competition. That was all she wanted to add.
Jen and Whitney aren’t currently speaking, but Jen now appears willing to support Whitney for the rest of the competition.
After Jen and her partner, Jan Ravnik, were eliminated from the competition, Jen spoke about her difficult relationship with Whitney on Instagram Live. She hinted at the situation, saying she would normally support someone who was also a popular ‘MomTok’ creator, but didn’t want to discuss it further.
Jen hinted that viewers will find out more about the disagreement during the third season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. All ten episodes will be available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ starting November 13th. As she put it, “You’ll just have to wait for season three.”

Whitney isn’t letting the drama bother her, as she and her partner, Mark Ballas, are focused on winning the Mirrorball trophy on Dancing With the Stars.
She told TopMob News after the November 4th episode that she was choosing to concentrate on the positive support they were receiving. She expressed deep gratitude for her supporters, explaining that their encouragement was a major source of motivation and helped them to keep moving forward.
