Jenelle Evans‘ family is navigating a difficult chapter.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! I’ve been following Jenelle Evans for years, and it’s just… heartbreaking. Apparently, her son, Jace – he’s only 16! – had a really serious incident. I just read that he was taken to a mental health facility after, get this, allegedly pulling a gun on his grandma, Barbara! Jenelle’s publicist actually confirmed it to Entertainment Weekly. I’m so worried about everyone involved, especially Jace. It’s just awful!

According to a spokesperson, Barbara—Jace’s roommate—called 911 after the incident on February 22nd. Her family is still looking for the right care facility to address his needs.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, seven officers from the Brunswick County Police Department were called to Barbara’s North Carolina home to deal with a situation involving a troubled teenager.

Jenelle’s representative asked the media to respect her son’s privacy, stating that her priority is protecting his well-being and creating a safe, private environment for her family right now.

TopMob News has reached out to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office but has not yet heard back.

The reality star, who has a son named Jace with her ex, Andrew Lewis, now lives in Las Vegas. She used to live in North Carolina so her son could adjust to life after moving from Florida to live with his father.

Jace is doing well and has returned home, no longer living with his father. He’s starting 11th grade and has recently taken up skateboarding, which he’s really enjoying, according to the 34-year-old in a July interview with People magazine.

Jenelle, who also has two other children – 11-year-old Kaiser with Nathan Griffith and 9-year-old Ensley with David Eason – has found it difficult to raise her son Jace due to his mental health challenges. He’s been diagnosed with ADHD, major depression, and oppositional defiant disorder.

And amid mounting criticism, Jenelle defended her parenting tactics regarding Jace.

In a recent TikTok video, she responded to criticism by saying, “You can say whatever you want, but I am taking care of my kids. As a mother, I’m simply doing what I believe is best for them, and that’s what I’m focused on. Thank you.”
