Jenna Bush Hager is weighing in on Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding.
43-year-old Bush Hager recently chatted about the much-anticipated weddings that occurred in Venice, Italy during the weekend, with guest Maria Shriver, on the show “Today With Jenna & Friends” which aired on Thursday, June 26th.
The talk show host expressed that they believe everyone will enjoy the event, finding it intriguing due to its high publicity. They noted that it’s a topic of conversation for many. However, they personally dislike the ongoing protests in Venice, as they are taking place during a celebration of love.
In 2008, Jenna Bush Hager reminisced about her wedding to Henry Chase Hager, an event that was held in the garden of her parents’ home in Crawford, Texas.
She expressed her concern, “I had been anxious about people discovering the location of my wedding.” What brought me joy was the possibility of maintaining some secrecy regarding my nuptials. I can’t help but feel a bit sorry for Bezos and Sánchez, as it appears they desire the same privacy too.
69-year-old Shriver expressed her hope that folks in Venice will recognize and cherish the feelings of love they have for one another. Moreover, she mentioned that her daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger (who is now married to Chris Pratt), was extremely vigilant about maintaining privacy during their wedding ceremony.
She desired a cozy, private setting where she could closely monitor everyone present,” Shriver added.
According to Shriver, Patrick Schwarzenegger, who is betrothed to Abby Champion, shares the same apprehensions.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I’m delighted to share that a host of renowned personalities graced the city of Venice for the nuptials of Bezos and Sánchez on Thursday. Among them were none other than Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Tom Brady, Orlando Bloom, Sydney Sweeney, and many others. This dynamic duo, who became engaged in May 2023, requested their approximately 200 guests to forgo the tradition of gift-giving, as per a message on their wedding invites that recently surfaced via ABC News.
Rather than giving gifts, we’re choosing to donate in your appreciation for joining us in Venice. The donations are being made to three organizations: UNESCO Venice Office for preserving the city’s unique cultural heritage, CORILA for restoring the lagoon ecosystem that safeguards Venice’s future, and Venice International University for fostering research and education on sustainable solutions.
The message ended with, “This enchanting spot has given us memories we’ll never forget. We wish that by your involvement and our joint efforts, Venice can keep sparking awe in future generations.
Before the wedding, a source revealed to Us Weekly that Sanchez intends to don custom-made Dolce & Gabbana attire on the big day.
As a lifestyle expert, I can confidently share that the upcoming event promises grandeur, being a lavish affair. What sets it apart is its distinctly Italian flair, ensuring an unforgettable blend of elegance and tradition.
