Jennifer Lopez will always get loud about her love for her fans.

The star of *Kiss of the Spider Woman* recently shared that their support was crucial in helping her through difficult times in her life.

She shared on the October 8th episode of the *Las Culturistas* podcast with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers that her fans and followers have been incredibly supportive during difficult personal times. She explained that knowing they’re counting on her helps her stay strong, giving her the motivation to persevere and demonstrate resilience.

For Jennifer Lopez, her connection with fans feels genuinely important. She explained that this strong bond exists ‘even though’ she doesn’t know most of them on a personal level.

She’s also tried to teach her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme—her children with ex-husband Marc Anthony—that it’s not just about recovering from setbacks, but about coming back stronger.

She shared that she uses a similar approach with her own children, telling them, “We’ll get through this, and we’ll all come out stronger. I want you to see that, and to realize you have that same strength within you to overcome challenges in your own life.”

Jennifer compared her connection with her fans to the relationship between her character, Ingrid Luna, and Luis Molina, played by Tonatiuh, in her new movie, *Kiss of the Spider Woman*. The film was produced by her former husband, Ben Affleck.

As a huge fan, I was so happy to see *Selena* come out for her – it really felt like a bright spot during a difficult period in her life. She’s even said herself that taking on that role was completely a safe haven for her, and honestly, you can feel that when you watch her performance.

She explained to CBS Sunday Morning that filming was a mix of intense joy and personal hardship. “It was hard not to think about things,” she said, “but it was the best and worst of times, really. I was incredibly happy while on set, fully immersed in the role. But things were difficult when I went home.”

Having recently finalized her divorce from Ben in January, the 56-year-old shared that she had to figure out how to move forward. But she ultimately believes the divorce was a positive turning point in her life, saying it was ‘the best thing that ever happened to me.’

In fact, it served as more than just a safe space. 

She said the experience helped her develop self-awareness and become the person she needed to be. “I’ve really changed in the past year,” she noted.

Ben also praised his former partner, telling TopMob News at the movie’s premiere on October 6th that she delivered a graceful and impressive performance. He raved about her work, calling her ‘wonderful,’ ‘amazing,’ and ‘spectacular,’ and expressed his excitement to have been involved in the project.
