As I take my place back in the spotlight, I find myself at the helm of an exciting new venture – “Millionaire Hot Seat”. It’s time for another round of high-stakes quizzing, where ordinary people become millionaires overnight!
In a rapidly moving adaptation of the worldwide “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” concept, contestants on the show “Millionaire Hot Seat” must strategize quickly and respond accurately while working against time and their fellow players.
In Australia, the show has already achieved significant acclaim, boasting impressive viewership figures and airing more than 2,500 episodes.
Filming for the UK series will get underway in November, with a premiere slated for 2026.
In the latest show, viewers will observe six competitors standing in line near the Hot Seat. The individual occupying the seat is the one who engages directly with Jeremy Clarkson and responds to questions from the Million Pound Money Ladder.

From a passionate cinephile’s perspective, if I nail my answers, I ascend the rungs of success; however, should I stumble upon an inaccurate response, I bid adieu to the game, and the pot shrinks ever so slightly.
The last and highest reward on the rung is up for grabs. Whoever responds accurately to the question posed will be the fortunate winner of the prize money.
Additionally, ITV has also ordered more installments of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire,” which will include seven special editions featuring famous personalities.
Katie Rawcliffe, head of Entertainment and Daytime Programming at ITV, announced: “This year alone, ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ has attracted 18 million viewers on ITV. Given the brand’s existing success and popularity, it seemed obvious to create a new spin-off version to boost its appeal even further, especially since ‘Millionaire Hot Seat’ is already successful in various other regions.
Matthew Worthy, Co-CEO of Stellify Media, expressed: “It’s a privilege to create Millionaire for ITV. Millionaire Hot Seat is essentially the mischievous little brother of our main show, offering more of Jeremy Clarkson, along with additional exciting money-ladder situations, yet with a fresh vibe, rhythm, and ambiance.
Who Wants to be a Millionaire? is available to stream on ITVX.
