Jessa Duggar Details Weight Loss Journey After Welcoming Baby No. 6

Jessa Duggar is embracing this high intensity milestone.

Five months after giving birth to her sixth child, a son named Edward Owen, Counting On star Jessa Seewald shared a positive update about her progress in losing the weight gained during pregnancy.

In a recent YouTube video, Jessa shared that she’s lost around 15 pounds over the past two months and is now just five pounds away from her pre-pregnancy weight, which she’s very happy about. She’s excited to be getting closer to her fitness goals after working on a routine for a while.

Jessa, who is 33 and a mother of five—Spurgeon (9), Henry (8), Ivy (6), Fern (4), and George (2)—isn’t just prioritizing her own health. She also eliminated dairy from her diet after noticing her youngest son, Edward, developed eczema when she began breastfeeding him.

But now, she’s added a new source of protein to her block list.

Jessa explained that Eddie’s eczema hadn’t improved after removing dairy, so the doctor suggested they try eliminating eggs too. Jessa has now cut eggs from her diet as well. While it’s been hard giving up some favorite foods, she feels it’s a very healthy change and likely the best diet she’s ever followed.

Before getting pregnant with Edward, Jessa Seewald (formerly of 19 Kids and Counting) started working with a personal trainer. She continued these workouts throughout her pregnancy, doing things like standing hip rotations and sumo squats several times a week – usually three to five days.

I’m not naturally athletic or someone who loves to exercise,” she said. “But I’ve realized that the only way to become that is to actually do it more often.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Jessa is absolutely crushing it! It feels like just yesterday she was talking about how hard things were – she was so honest about how upset she was that her old clothes didn’t fit after having the baby last September. It was so relatable! But now? She’s reached a huge milestone, and I’m seriously so proud of her! It just proves she’s dedicated and determined, and I’m here for it!

She mentioned in her YouTube video that her weight loss wasn’t happening as quickly as she’d like. She tries not to worry about it, but her husband, Ben, thinks she stresses over it more than she lets on.

I’ve been following Jessa’s journey, and I really appreciate how honest she is. She’s made it clear she’s not expecting to instantly snap back to her old body after having a baby, and that’s so relatable! She’s actually finding peace in accepting the changes and has a little saying that’s helping her through it all, which I think is wonderful.

“Everybody’s timeline is different,” she expressed. “Being older is different, too.”

The Bravo host detailed his health and fitness journey using an Ozempic-like drug.

During a September 2025 broadcast of his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, the 57-year-old revealed he’d lost a significant amount of weight this summer by using a GLP-1 medication. He explained he’d been unhappy with his weight and, after discussing it with his doctor last year, decided to try a GLP-1. The medication was recommended not only to help with his weight, but also to address plaque buildup in his arteries and high blood pressure, offering broader health benefits. He ultimately decided it was the right step for him.

He explained that it was a big help in managing his cravings, which had been a real struggle, and motivated him to be more disciplined with his diet and exercise.

The singer shared in November 2024 that he had lost 120 pounds.

As someone who’s been very open about my journey, I wanted to share my struggles publicly, and that’s why I did. I really believe in being honest with people about the things I’m going through, and I shared this on my wife, Bunnie XO’s, podcast, Dumb Blonde, to do just that.

He explained that his success wasn’t because of his weight, but rather despite it – he overcame that challenge to achieve his goals.

The talk show host has been feeling healthier lately. After learning she was pre-diabetic, she decided to prioritize her health and lost weight. She told People magazine that she’s been following her doctor’s advice, something she hadn’t consistently done for a couple of years. She also mentioned that she sticks to a high-protein diet most of the time, which benefits her overall well-being.

She is a Texas girlie after all, “so I like meat—sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

Okay, so she’s a mom to River and Remington, which is adorable, but honestly, I’m living for her NYC life! She said walking around the city is a total workout – can you imagine?! – and she’s OBSESSED with infrared saunas, just like me! But the best part? Everyone convinced her to get a cold plunge! I mean, I was totally one of those ‘everyone’ people, and I’m so glad she finally caved. She’s just the best, and I need all the details of this new chapter!

She decided against taking the popular weight loss drugs, even though her doctor encouraged it for two years. ‘I was scared of the side effects, especially since I already have thyroid issues,’ she shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2024. While many assume it was Ozempic, she clarified she was offered a different medication – one that helps process sugar, as her body doesn’t do so effectively on its own.

Everyone’s getting health advice from a media icon who’s feeling fantastic! She shared her secrets with Entertainment Tonight, explaining that it’s not just one thing that keeps her healthy – it’s a combination of things like treadmill workouts, hiking, drinking plenty of water, and eating nutritious foods. She emphasized that it’s “everything” working together.

Oprah Winfrey recently shared that she’s using a weight loss medication, though she hasn’t revealed which one. In an interview with People magazine, she described it as a welcome relief, a chance to finally address her weight without shame, and a gift after years of public scrutiny. She stated she’s finished with both external and self-criticism regarding her weight.

The HGTV star demonstrated a remarkable life change, sharing details of his two-year fitness journey in an Instagram post from July 2023.

He explained that sometimes what feels like the right path actually requires a change in direction to truly improve. While he used to occasionally do hot yoga with his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, he realized he hadn’t been consistently working out, monitoring his diet, or getting professional advice.

Nutritionist Sean Torbati emphasizes the importance of both diet and exercise. ‘I focus on eating healthy and doing hot yoga once or twice a week, which really benefits my mind and body,’ says the father of three. He believes that staying motivated and persistent is key to success.

He had a turning point when he truly understood how much he desired to feel good and be healthy – not just for himself, but for his family and his future. That’s when he fully committed and started working towards it!

The cohost of The View shared that she used Mounjaro, a drug for type 2 diabetes, to lose weight after gaining weight in 2021.

She revealed on a recent talk show that she once weighed close to 300 pounds. She explained that, after using steroids in the past, she’s been able to lose weight with the help of a medication called Mounjaro, which she currently uses.

The Grammy-winning artist is aware people noticed her impressive body transformation, which she achieved through a combination of diet, exercise, and a weight loss medication that works with the body’s natural appetite regulators.

In a March 2025 Instagram post, she shared that she’s been prioritizing her health after her second pregnancy. She worked with a nutritionist, made significant changes to her daily routine, began training with a fitness professional, and also utilized medication (specifically mentioning Mounjaro) and support systems to help her feel her best. She expressed feeling great as a result of these efforts.

The reality TV star is confident in herself, regardless of what others think. She recently addressed rumors about weight loss, posting on Instagram in February, “I really don’t like talking about this, but I haven’t had any surgery or medical procedures to lose weight.”

Although she’s lost 100 pounds, bringing her weight down from 385 to 285, including 50 pounds after her mother, Barbara “Babs” Thore, passed away in December 2022, she’s been at 285 pounds for nearly a year now.

Simply put, she said she appreciated the compliments, but she doesn’t like to focus on appearances, either for herself or others.

The actress, known for her attractiveness everywhere she goes, recently shared her thoughts on body image in an Instagram post last February.

The Food Network host shared a bikini photo from 2014 and talked about body image. She explained she weighs 150 pounds despite being 5’4″ tall, and she’s stopped weighing herself because she doesn’t care what others consider ‘overweight.’ She regrets paying attention to those standards for so long.

Oh my gosh, she gets it! She said she finally realized she’s a kind, funny, thoughtful person – and it’s all because she stopped obsessing over diets! It just hit me so hard when she said that who you are as a person – your kindness, your humor – that’s what really matters, not a number on the scale. It’s like, you are enough, exactly as you are, and I’m honestly tearing up just thinking about it! It’s so empowering!

As for anyone that might not agree, she summed up, “F–k ‘em.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always thrilled to hear about transformations, and this musician’s is fantastic! He recently lost 55 pounds and says he feels incredible. He shared in an Instagram post that people have been asking about his weight loss and how it’s affecting his performances, and he’s loving every minute of being on stage. He truly feels healthier than ever, and honestly, that energy shines through – it’s amazing to see!

He explained that becoming a father in 2022 was his motivation to make healthier choices. He quit drinking soda and started eating better, wanting to be around for his daughter for a long time. He plans to quit smoking and cut back on alcohol next, but says he’s taking things one step at a time.

She admitted feeling a lot of pressure to lose weight after having her son, Sidney, in November 2022. She told TopMob News that losing 85 pounds became her main focus. She explained she was so focused on it because she wanted to avoid people talking about her body and just be left alone.

She’s not suggesting everyone follow her intense method, but she’s glad she did. “It was incredibly difficult,” she admitted. “I worked really hard and was constantly hungry, but I’m very pleased with how it turned out.”

The actor, known for his role on Roseanne, has experienced many ups and downs with his health. He used to lose a significant amount of weight—60 to 70 pounds—over three months, then fall back into unhealthy habits. As he explained in 2017, he decided to take a different approach this time, focusing on gradual changes like exercise and movement. He realized he needed to stay active as he gets older.

He’s kept off 200 pounds by focusing on a healthy lifestyle: lots of walking and a diet inspired by the Mediterranean, with plenty of fish, vegetables, and nuts. As he told Men’s Health, it requires ongoing effort, but he sees it as a rewarding one.

Following a type 2 diabetes diagnosis and the loss of his father and brother to heart attacks, the host of The Price Is Right decided to improve his diet and focus on healthy eating.

He told Entertainment Tonight his secret to staying in shape was cutting out all carbohydrates. He explained he avoids everything from bread and pizza to corn and beans, and even limits himself to egg whites or Greek yogurt with a little fruit for breakfast. He admits to occasionally indulging, but generally sticks to a completely carb-free diet, not even allowing a single cracker.

And to wash it all down, “I don’t drink anything but water,” he said. “No coffee, no tea, no soda.”

After losing an incredible 440 pounds, the star of 1000-lb Sisters has experienced many exciting firsts, which have been shared on her TLC show. These include flying on a plane, being able to use a seatbelt and sit in the front seat of a car, enjoying a hot air balloon ride, and going on attractions at Disney World.

In a recent TikTok video, Slaton shared how much it means to her to be able to buckle her seatbelt without needing an extender. She explained that it’s a simple thing many people don’t think about, but she hadn’t been able to do it for years, making it a significant accomplishment for her.

I’m really proud of what I’ve accomplished,” the reality star explained. “I finally lost the weight and I’m enjoying life, and that’s what matters most. I feel like I’m truly living now.”

The Vanderpump Rules star is focusing on health and wellness. She’s back on the Jenny Craig plan and hoping to see progress, but she shared with TopMob News in February that her main goal is to be a healthy role model for her son. While she’d like to lose weight, she wants to prioritize good habits for her and Jax Taylor’s son, Cruz.

The future star of The Valley explained, “I really want to model a healthy lifestyle for him. Taking care of my body is a huge part of my well-being, especially for my mental health, and I believe it’s vital to embrace a positive, healthy path.”

All her hard work and dedication to strength training has clearly paid off for the musician.

In 2023, the star shared with People that they were very proud of how far they’ve come. They explained that fitness is now a regular part of their life, and they’ve consistently prioritized their health through dedicated workouts.

She’s been working incredibly hard, and mentioned she might start offering intense fitness classes, which she playfully calls ‘Hottie Bootcamp.’ She described a typical workout as a challenging combination of exercises like deadlifts, jump rope, lunges, and mountain climbers. In a video, she jokingly said the workout is extremely difficult, but added that it’s definitely helping to build muscle and tone legs.

When the pandemic began in March 2020, just a few months after the former Pretty Little Liars star had her first daughter, Atlas, she admitted to TopMob News that she felt incredibly unmotivated. With everything suddenly stopping, she decided to just let go and not worry about it.

She abandoned her workout routine and healthy eating habits when the pandemic hit. After months of indulging in unhealthy food in 2020, she felt worse about her body and longed to feel good again.

She was excited but also a little unsure when she heard about trying Openfit’s 4 Weeks of Focus program with trainer Kelsey Heenan.

After consistently starting her day for a month with warm water and lemon, plus a 30-minute workout that mixed cardio, HIIT, and strength training, she felt completely transformed. She explained her new approach to food, saying she’d still indulge in things like pizza, but balance it with healthier options like adding spinach. She was amazed by the results, admitting, “I couldn’t believe how strong I was becoming! I’ve always been active, but I’d never lifted weights that heavy before.”

As a lifestyle advocate, I always tell people not to sweat the small stuff, and that really rings true for me. I recently shared with my followers that I didn’t quite reach my weight goal of dipping below 200 pounds, but honestly? It didn’t stop me from celebrating all the progress I have made. It’s about the journey, not just the number on the scale, and finding reasons to feel good about yourself right now.

She reminded herself that any step forward, however small, still counts. She acknowledged a tough week but stayed positive, reasoning that just as weight didn’t appear overnight, it wouldn’t disappear quickly either. Her mantra was to simply keep moving forward, regardless of the challenges.

She’s confident she can achieve her health goals. “I’m going to reach my ideal state,” she declared. “It might take a week or a year, but we’ll get there eventually. Just keep moving forward, believe in yourself, and focus on making progress, not achieving perfection.”

The Queer Eye star made significant progress with their health and fitness goals, allowing them to confidently pursue more challenging gymnastics routines.

In an August 2022 TikTok, they revealed they’d been working with a nutritionist since April and had lost 35 pounds. They explained the weight loss was motivated by a desire to improve their physique for gymnastics and their career.

But they also warned not to expect instant results. The author of Love That Story shared that it took three weeks of consistent effort before they noticed any difference. So, if you’re trying to change your fitness or diet, give it at least three weeks of consistent workouts and healthy eating to see results.

Before turning thirty in 2022, the former Disney Channel star decided to start a new workout plan.

The actor, who is married to model Barbara Palvin, shared an Instagram post in April explaining that he used to be self-conscious about his body as a child and wore a shirt while swimming. He decided in his late twenties to transform his physique and embrace weightlifting, calling the post his ‘meat head’ reveal.

It was a tough workout, but he’s happy with how far he’s come and plans to keep going.

Everyone has ups and downs, and life isn’t always flawless. This became clear when the actress openly shared on Instagram in January 2024 that she had regained 13.6 kilograms after successfully reaching her goal weight of 75 kilograms back in 2020.

Wilson admitted she’s been struggling to maintain her healthy habits due to a busy filming schedule. She’s previously discussed overcoming emotional eating and switching to a diet focused on protein instead of carbs, but now finds it difficult to fit in her boxing and hiking workouts.

Wilson confessed that stress was causing them to gain weight and negatively impacting their self-esteem. They acknowledged it wasn’t logical to feel this way, but admitted that it did.

Giving up his favorite beers? Okay. And dedicating himself to intense daily workouts – P90X, kickboxing, and running – as he told Men’s Journal? Absolutely.

For Chris Pratt, the most challenging aspect of his 60-pound weight loss – going from his role as Andy Dwyer in Parks and Recreation to a superhero in Guardians of the Galaxy – wasn’t the exercise, but the massive amount of water he had to drink: one ounce for every pound he weighed each day.

“I was peeing all day long, every day,” he explained. “That part was a nightmare,”

Even though he was already somewhat known, like Cher Horowitz might say, the actor who starred in Clueless realized fans were surprised to learn he’d be playing the new Ant-Man in the Marvel universe.

Paul Rudd said that when people found out he was cast in the movie, the most common reaction was disbelief. He recalled people thinking, ‘Paul Rudd as a superhero? Seriously?’ when they heard the news, as he told Variety in 2015.

He understood his task. Like Chris Pratt preparing for an action role, he decided to dedicate himself completely – sacrificing enjoyment for a year to achieve the necessary transformation to play the hero.

After having her older children, the author of the Just Eat book returned to the South Beach diet to help her feel like herself again. She told TopMob News that the high-protein plan worked quickly. “I started the program, exercised, and immediately felt better,” she said.

Before anything else, she’s focused on enjoying the time immediately after giving birth. Decker, a mother of four – Vivianne, Eric Jr., Forrest, and newborn Denver (born February 2024) – emphasizes, “New moms should make self-care a priority.” She advises against immediately trying to lose weight. “Focus on feeding and loving your baby, and letting your body heal. You’ll naturally know when you’re ready to exercise again. Don’t let pressure to lose weight override your body’s signals. You’ll feel when you have the energy to be active again.”

He’s been enjoying the results of his workouts, including getting a six-pack. He’s been training for 90 minutes at a time and eating a much healthier diet – lots of lean protein and vegetables, and cutting out sugary drinks like soda, as he told People magazine.

What really motivates him, though, is tackling his incredible bucket list. He’s always talked about wanting to push himself outdoors, and right now he’s focused on getting in amazing shape so he can climb those huge rock faces in Yosemite. But honestly, his biggest dream? Hiking the entire Pacific Crest Trail – that’s the one stretching from Mexico to Canada along the American coast, and back again! It’s a huge goal, and I know he’s completely dedicated to making it happen.

After giving birth to her daughter Kingsley in September 2022, the actress—known for Twilight—realized her body had changed. She shared on Instagram in January 2023 that she was accepting this, saying she didn’t think her body would ever be exactly as it was before, and she was learning to be okay with that.

If she ever feels overwhelmed, she has a coping mechanism that’s just as valuable as getting back into her exercise routine after having a baby.

She told TopMob News that looking into her daughter’s eyes – whom she affectionately called her “sweet angel” – helps her feel grateful instead of focusing on her own flaws. She considers this a helpful trick, because it’s easy to be too hard on yourself no matter what you do.
