It’s the little things that matter most to Jessa Duggar.
Jessa Duggar, known from 19 Kids and Counting, celebrated her 11th wedding anniversary with her husband, Ben Seewald, in a low-key way. They enjoyed a sweet treat and spent quality time together. The couple welcomed their son, Edward, three months ago in July.
She shared a sweet message on Instagram November 1st, celebrating 11 years with her partner. She wrote about how much she enjoys simple moments with them, like sharing ice cream together in a grocery store parking lot, and expressed her love.
I was so happy to see Jessa and Ben celebrating! It wasn’t just a sweet dessert date, though. They actually had a whole weekend getaway to Branson, Missouri, which Jessa shared with all of us in her latest vlog. It’s so lovely to see them enjoying time together with their adorable kids – Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, Fern, and little George!
She mentioned in a YouTube video posted on November 3rd that it had been a while since she and her partner had taken a proper anniversary trip. They usually just go out to dinner to celebrate, so she was excited about having two nights away this time.
I was so happy to see Jessa and Ben, even though they’re new parents! They brought their little one along on their trip, which I thought was amazing, and honestly, it didn’t seem to slow them down at all – they were clearly still having a fantastic time. It was lovely to witness!

“I had a really great time,” Jessa said while packing to leave. “We’ll always have these wonderful memories.”
Edward’s birth was a particularly joyful event for the Seewald family, especially after Jessa had experienced previous miscarriages.
Jessa recently shared that she cried with relief when her baby was born and everyone was healthy. In a YouTube video, she described the emotional scene – with the baby crying and herself also in tears – as a beautiful and incredibly grateful moment.

I’ve always been fascinated by their love story! They were high school sweethearts, and now they’re parents to 19 children and grandparents to over 36 grandkids. It’s incredible to think they’ve built such a huge, loving family together.
Michelle remembers accepting a religious faith at age 15. Shortly after, Jim Bob was visiting homes in the neighborhood as part of his church’s outreach program. A friend mentioned that a newly religious cheerleader lived at the Ruark family’s house, so Jim Bob went and knocked on their door.
Jim Bob and Michelle first met when they invited her to Sunday school at their church, and Jim Bob hoped they would become spiritual mentors to each other – though Michelle didn’t remember the meeting as vividly. A year later, Michelle applied for a job at the frozen yogurt shop run by Jim Bob’s parents. In a 2017 letter posted on their family blog for Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd anniversary, Michelle recalled, “You came up to the counter where I was working and introduced yourself. You were shy, but really sweet! I don’t remember much of the conversation, except that you finally worked up the courage to ask me to the junior-senior banquet!”
Michelle and Jim Bob first connected at a dinner held at Shiloh Christian. However, it was the hours they spent talking about the Bible at her parents’ home afterward that truly sparked their relationship. As Michelle explained, that’s when they felt a deep connection. They graduated high school in May 1984 and were married just two months later in July. Michelle was 17, and Jim Bob was 19 at the time.

The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.
Jim Bob previously served as a state representative for Arkansas’s sixth district from 1999 to 2002, where he was vice chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He ran for U.S. Senate in 2002 but didn’t win the primary, and he also unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for Arkansas State Senate District 35 in 2006.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, both real estate agents, are known for their involvement in conservative political and social causes. This aspect of their lives made them both strong advocates for and frequent targets of criticism surrounding their show, 19 Kids and Counting (originally 17 Kids and Counting, which first aired in 2008).
As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.

Josh Duggar, the oldest child of the Duggar family, was born on March 3, 1988. Like his parents, he became involved in conservative activism, working with the Family Research Council.
Josh Duggar resigned after police records from 2015 came to light, detailing accusations that he had sexually abused multiple girls, including his sisters Jessa and Jill, while he was a teenager. In a June interview with Fox News, Jessa defended her brother, claiming the accusations were exaggerated and untrue, and stating she was one of the victims herself, which is why she felt comfortable speaking out.

His wife, Anna Duggar, whom he married on September 26, 2008, in a ceremony shown on the show 19 Kids and Counting, remained supportive even after he confessed to infidelity.
In 2016, when he began treatment, his parents described it as an important start to his recovery.
Anna and her husband have seven children: Mackynzie (born October 8, 2009), Michael (June 15, 2011), Marcus (June 2, 2013), Meredith (July 16, 2015), Mason Garett (September 12, 2017), Maryella Hope (November 27, 2019), and Madyson Lily (October 23, 2021). Meredith was born on the same day TLC canceled 19 Kids.
I was shocked to learn that Josh was indicted in April 2021 on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography. He maintained his innocence, but unfortunately, in 2022, he was convicted on both counts. The judge did later dismiss the possession charge, but he still received a sentence of twelve and a half years in prison. It’s a really difficult situation, and I’m still processing everything.

Soon after Josh arrived, Michelle became pregnant again, but sadly, she lost the baby. While they were still heartbroken and seeking direction, they were overjoyed to discover they were expecting twins.
It felt like a special gift from God, a real encouragement for us,” she explained. “We’re still figuring things out as we go. It’s quite rare, because I nurse my babies, but they’re born very close together – I get pregnant again just eight months after having a baby. It’s just another unexpected thing that’s happened in our family, and we feel blessed.
John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.

John David and Abbie-Grace Burnett married on November 3, 2018, after a quick romance and engagement. They had known each other for several years prior to meeting at a church event in Abbie’s home state of Oklahoma.
They welcomed daughter Grace Annette Duggar on Jan. 7, 2020 and son Charlie Duggar in September 2022.
In a heartfelt message on their 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana reflected on a lifelong question about whether she and her brother, John, shared a special connection. People had always asked if they possessed a ‘twin thing’ – that sense of feeling what the other feels or knowing what the other thinks. Jana had always said no, but the birth of their niece, Gracie, changed her mind. She realized she felt just as much joy as John did, leading her to believe that the ‘twin thing’ might actually be real!
Jana said it was lovely seeing them and Abbie as parents, adding that they both seemed to have a natural talent for it. She also pointed out that the qualities that made him such a great brother would definitely make him a wonderful father.

Jana watched eleven of her eighteen siblings get married before she met her husband, Stephen Wissmann. Stephen’s sister, Hannah, is married to Jana’s brother, Jeremiah. Although she sometimes felt frustrated by the wait, Jana believes everything happened according to God’s plan.
Jana explained to People magazine that she’s realized everyone’s life path is different, and that’s okay. She trusts that God has a plan for each of us, and for her, that means getting married a bit later. ‘If we were all the same, life would be really dull,’ she said, ahead of her wedding on August 15, 2024.
Just over a year later, the couple shared that they’re expecting their first baby.

Jill Dillard (born May 17, 1991) met her husband, Derick, in a sweet way that mirrored her parents’ story. He visited the Duggar family home in December 2011 while caroling with his church group, and they lived about 45 minutes apart.
Jim Bob introduced Jill and Derick, and they quickly connected through emails and video calls. That November, Jill and her father visited Derick in Nepal, and their relationship blossomed. Derick formally asked Jim Bob for Jill’s hand in marriage in February 2014, and they were married on June 21st of that year. They now have three sons: Israel, born April 6, 2015, Samuel, born July 8, 2017, and Frederick, born July 7, 2022.
In April 2024, Jill announced she had experienced a miscarriage while pregnant with her and Derick’s first daughter.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, which debuted in June 2023, Jill and Derick Dillard discussed the controversies and religious beliefs connected to her family.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.
Jessa and Ben met at church, and he began courting her in 2013. This traditional approach to romance was new to many viewers. Because the couple didn’t discuss their relationship before getting engaged, Jim Bob explained to People magazine that courting involves getting to know each other with both families involved, and setting goals together to see if they’re a good match for marriage. He contrasted this with dating, where couples often spend time alone, which can sometimes lead to physical intimacy.
Ben formally asked for Jessa’s hand in marriage and proposed in August 2014, marking the first time they held hands as a couple. They quickly married on November 1, 2014. While Jessa was pregnant with their first child, their show 19 Kids and Counting was canceled. TLC then aired a special featuring Jessa and her sister Jill discussing sexual abuse and providing education to viewers. That winter, the sisters became the focus of a new show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, which later expanded to include other members of the Duggar family and became simply Counting On.
Jessa and Ben have four children: Spurgeon, born in November 2015; Henry, born in February 2017; Ivy Jane, born in May 2019; and Fern, born in July 2021. They sadly experienced a miscarriage during the 2022 holidays, but welcomed their newest son, George, in December 2023.
In August 2025, Jessa announced the birth of son Edward.

The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.
Jinger and Jeremy first connected while doing mission work in Laredo, Texas, and began dating in 2016. They got married on November 5, 2016—which happened to be Jinger’s nephew Spurgeon’s birthday—and quickly faced speculation about whether they were expecting a baby. Considering Jinger is one of nineteen siblings, coordinating events without overlap is always a challenge!
In June 2017, on the show Counting On, Jinger shared that she and her family hoped to be settled and continuing their ministry work in Laredo, serving God in any way they could.
The couple’s daughter, Felicity, was born on July 19, 2018. They had previously announced in May of that year that they were expecting another child, but shared that Jinger had experienced a miscarriage in the fall of 2017. Their second daughter, Evangeline Jo, arrived in November 2020.
Son Finnegan Charles was born March 29, 2025.

Joseph Duggar, born on January 20, 1995, proposed to Kendra Caldwell in May 2017. They had met through church and had been courting for only a few months when he popped the question at his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding.
Honestly, I was a bundle of nerves before I asked her, but I felt confident she’d say yes – she’d actually told me she was waiting for me to propose! When I finally did, she was just completely overwhelmed with happiness. She kept saying she was so shocked, and that there were so many things she wanted to say, but she was just speechless with joy. It was the most amazing moment!
The couple has welcomed three children: a son named Garrett, born in June 2018, and daughters Addison, born in November 2019, and Brooklyn, born in February 2021.

Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.
After publicly dating for only a few months, the couple announced their engagement in March 2018. He shared that he proposed to Lauren in the same location where her parents had gotten engaged, explaining the property held a lot of family history and was therefore very meaningful to her.
Lauren’s future mother-in-law, Michelle, shared in a video on the family’s blog how much they adore her, calling her a ‘precious girl.’ Jessa and Ben also sent their congratulations, along with chocolates shaped like hearts and kisses. Michelle jokingly said they knew the couple would likely want to save their first kiss for the wedding, but offered the chocolates as a fun alternative if they visited.
Josiah previously dated Marjorie Jackson, but they ended their relationship in the summer of 2015. He told People magazine in March 2016 that they had enjoyed their time together and were both trying to discern what God wanted for them. Ultimately, Marjorie didn’t feel the timing was right, so they decided to stop dating for the time being.
As a lifestyle expert, I always love hearing heartwarming family stories! I was so touched to learn about Lauren and her husband’s journey. They had a truly magical wedding day back in June of 2018, and then welcomed their first daughter, Bella Milagro, in November 2019. They actually chose the name ‘Milagro’ – meaning ‘miracle’ – because they’d sadly experienced a miscarriage in 2018, making Bella a very special little girl. Their family continued to grow with the arrival of Daisy in 2022, and most recently, they welcomed a son, Ezra, in May 2023! It’s just lovely to see their family blossom.

Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.
Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth had been friends for 15 years before they began dating, and things moved quickly once they did. Austin proposed in February 2017, and they were married just a few months later on May 26th at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – the same wedding where Joseph Duggar proposed to Kendra Caldwell!

I’ve been so happy to watch Joy-Anna and Austin’s family grow! They welcomed their first son, Gideon Martin Forsyth, back in February of 2018, and then their sweet daughter, Evelyn Mae Forsyth, arrived in August 2020. Most recently, in May 2023, they added another little boy, Gunner James Forsyth, to the family – it’s been wonderful to see!

Jed and Jeremiah Duggar, the second set of twins born to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, arrived on December 30, 1998.

Jed and Katey Nakatsu married in April 2021 after dating for a year. They have two children: a son named Truett, born in May 2022, and a daughter named Nora Kate, born in June 2023.
Jed and Katey shared the exciting news in July 2024 that they were expecting twin girls. Elsie Kate and Emma Kate arrived on January 8, 2025.

Jeremiah is a certified flight instructor and is married to Hannah Wissmann, who is the sister of Stephen (Jana’s husband). They have two daughters: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.
They announced the arrival of their third daughter, Emery ‘Emy’ Jane Duggar, on May 18, 2025.

No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.
Back in January 2017, the Daily Mail said Jim Bob assisted Jase in purchasing a run-down house in Prairie Grove, Arkansas – roughly 30 minutes from the Duggar family’s property. Jase then used this as an opportunity to launch his own construction business.
He publicly revealed his relationship with Maddie Grace on Instagram in May 2024, and they got married in October of the same year.

Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.
He’s not currently dating anyone publicly, but he’s a very loving and involved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Mom Michelle described James as the ‘fun uncle’ – someone all the younger boys admire and want to emulate. On his 19th birthday in 2019, she wrote that James could always make anything happen. Even when he was little, he loved taking things apart – from household appliances to anything else he could get his hands on – to see how they worked. He’d then put them back together, often with his own creative improvements!
James put in a lot of effort this year and earned his commercial driver’s license! He’s now skilled at operating large trucks and heavy equipment, and we’re excited to see what opportunities lie ahead for him.

No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
He started dating Claire Spivey in September 2020, and they announced their engagement the following November. They then got married on February 26, 2021.

Jackson Duggar, the fifteenth child of Jim Bob and Michelle, was born on May 23, 2004. He’s pictured here with his older sister, Jill.

For Jackson’s sixteenth birthday, his mom, Michelle, complimented his funny personality and said she knew he was eager to finally get his driver’s license.

Johannah Duggar was born on October 11, 2005, which is why her family was featured in the special called 16 Kids and Moving In.
On her daughter’s fifteenth birthday in 2020, Michelle wrote about how much joy the girl brings to everyone. She described her as friendly and someone who easily makes connections with others. Michelle also shared how her younger sisters look up to her and expressed her thankfulness for being her mother.

Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.
Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.

Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
On her daughter Jennifer’s thirteenth birthday, Michelle described her as reliable, loyal, and a joy to be around! Jennifer is beloved by her younger cousins, who constantly want her to carry them. She’s also a dedicated animal lover, faithfully caring for her pets each day – she even recently helped raise a family of seven bunnies!

Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.

In 2019, Jordyn-Grace’s mom described her as a friendly and approachable person who quickly connects with everyone. She also noted that Jordyn-Grace’s laugh always brightens their day.

Josie Duggar, number 19 in her family, is pictured here with her niece, Meredith. She was born on December 10, 2009, three months early and weighing just 1 pound, 6 ounces. She spent six months receiving care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Michelle described her daughter, Josie, as incredibly energetic when writing a message on her 11th birthday in 2020. She noted that Josie is constantly on the go, from the moment she wakes up until bedtime!
