Jesse Metcalfe Responds to Scheana Shay Detailing Their Romance

Jesse Metcalfe is weighing in on his former flame.

John Tucker, who was featured in the movie “John Tucker Must Die”, expressed his thoughts upon being mentioned in Scheana Shay’s new memoir “My Good Side”. In this book, she recounts their short-lived relationship from the late 2000s. Notably, he stated that he maintains a friendly relationship with the former star of “Vanderpump Rules”.

From time to time, I bump into Scheana at various events,” he shared with TopMob News during the 12th Annual Luxury Luncheon in Southampton, New York, hosted by Jill Zarin on July 26. “She’s a truly lovely person and I’m thrilled for her achievements. It might make a good article, but it’s not something I want to focus on myself.

Despite maintaining a cordial relationship with Scheana after their split, the 46-year-old (currently dating Helene Immel since 2023) openly stated that he didn’t actively seek to be part of the book.

“I was like, ‘This again?’” he revealed. “It was a really, really long time ago.”

Concerning a particular memory that Scheana mentioned – claiming the actor treated her to whatever she desired at Neiman Marcus while they were together – he admitted that his recollection of these events was somewhat hazy.

“I don’t remember,” Jesse said, before quipping, “I don’t remember what I did yesterday.”

However, Scheana, mother of four-year-old Summer Moon Honey Davies with husband Brock Davies, appeared to vividly remember details about her past relationship with the former Desperate Housewives star, even recalling various activities they used to engage in together.

One evening, he invited us over to his home for dinner with his parents, and afterward, when we were left alone, he’d strum the guitar and croon tunes such as ‘Hey There Delilah,’ a scene that felt like stepping into a dreamy reality with a celebrity I had admired on screen for ages.

Back in the day, I happened to work as a server at an LA cigar lounge when fate brought me face-to-face with Eddie Cibrian, a man twelve years my senior. Little did I know that our love story would be shrouded in mist and illusion, much like the smoky atmosphere of that very bar.

In her 2025 memoir titled “My Good Side“, Scheana referred to the actor as someone who was “the kindest, wittiest, most captivating individual I had ever come across, and a true gentleman at heart.” Interestingly, she mentioned that he didn’t wear a wedding ring although he was married to Brandi Glanville and the father of two sons. She assumed he was single, confessing that she wasn’t aware of his fame because she never took the time to look him up.

From the perspective of a lifestyle advisor: Starting towards the end of 2006, we had an arrangement that wasn’t officially exclusive, which we referred to as our weekly rendezvous. However, it was only later in time that I learned he was a married man. Despite this revelation, I found it hard to accept because our interactions were frequent and public, making me feel more like a companion rather than a clandestine lover.

Six months after uncovering the truth, she ended their relationship, but eventually reconciled with him again. As she shared her story, she mentioned how he deeply apologized and disclosed that he had parted ways with Brandi.

Previously, Eddie surprised her with a collection of diamond earrings, admitted his affection, and arranged a snowboarding adventure. She felt this was a significant leap in our partnership.

In March 2009, she found out about Eddie’s relationship with LeAnn Rimes, which was widely publicized in magazines. She expressed frustration by saying, “It really annoyed me that Eddie never had the courage to have a straightforward conversation.” However, she eventually moved past it and has not seen Eddie since then.

While she was involved with Eddie, Scheana was also cultivating feelings for Desperate Housewives gardener Jesse Metcalfe. She explained that they would often have dinner delivered to his house with his parents, and when they were alone, he would strum the guitar and sing sweet serenades like ‘Hey There Delilah’ to her. It seemed as if she was living a dream come true with this man she had admired on TV and in films for years.

She mentioned that she had a casual relationship with John Mayer: “I tried to keep it secret because I enjoyed spending time with him. However, since it wasn’t just the two of us often, one of my friends ended up revealing the truth.” When that friend let it slip, “He stopped responding to me and avoided me,” she wrote. “He might have thought I was the one who leaked the details about our outings.

As she was talking non-stop, she mentioned some of the men she’s allegedly had relationships with: Shemar Moore, Josh Hopkins, Shane West, Jesse McCartney, JC Chasez, Adrian Grenier, Ricardo Chavira, William Tell, two actors from The Notebook, and a few players from NFL, NBA, and MLB, to name a few.

Back when Scheana’s future was still unwritten, she made an uncredited cameo on The Hills in 2009.

At the H.Wood club in Hollywood, she was taken aback when her acquaintance Stacie Adams was publicly labeled a “homewrecker” due to flirting with Spencer Pratt, whereas she and another companion were disrespectfully referred to as “vulgar terms for women of ill repute.

However, Scheana pointed out, everything appeared untrue in their situation, as she recalled how Heidi Montag, after wrapping up, arrived in a car beside her. “She was incredibly kind,” Scheana penned, “unlike the harsh character portrayed by MTV’s Heidi, who was manipulated and presented for public consumption.” She quoted Heidi as saying, “‘Hello everyone, I’m sorry I had to be rude to you; it was all part of the show. You understand that, right?’

however, it was Lisa Vanderpump who truly excelled in the art of reality TV production, as she tasked Scheana with organizing SUR’s grand opening event, which was captured for a January 2012 episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but confess my bewilderment when Lisa extended the invitation for Brandi to join the RHOBH gathering. Little did I know, I was unwittingly stepping into a trap designed for a spin-off, orchestrated by none other than Lisa herself, subtly paving the way for her own Vanderpump Rules universe! Frankly, I had no inkling that this event would serve as a springboard for her series, let alone position me in such an unflattering light on national television.

1. Lisa nudged Brandi towards Eddie, signaling her to serve the appetizers. Upon learning about Scheana’s relationship with Eddie, she feigned surprise.

2. Lisa guided Brandi over to Eddie, indicating for her to distribute the finger foods. When she found out that Scheana was dating Eddie, Lisa pretended to be taken aback.

3. Lisa subtly pointed Brandi towards Eddie, asking her to pass the hors d’oeuvres. Upon discovering the news of Scheana and Eddie’s romance, Lisa put on a show of shock.

4. Lisa steered Brandi towards Eddie, suggesting she distribute the snacks. After learning about Scheana dating Eddie, Lisa feigned astonishment.

5. Lisa sent Brandi over to Eddie, asking her to serve the appetizers. Upon hearing the news of Scheana and Eddie’s relationship, Lisa made a show of looking surprised.

More recently, following the latest cast changes on VPR, when Scheana was conversing with a producer, they mentioned, “There were concerns that the Disney actress who had ties with Eddie might not join in.” They were referring to me, essentially disclosing Lisa’s worry about my affair with Eddie right in front of me. This revelation confirmed what I had long suspected: Lisa was indeed aware of my relationship with Eddie, and she leveraged this knowledge to kickstart VPR.

During those times, one would expect they’d be the happiest days of her life. However, less than two years into her marriage to schoolmate Michael Shay, she found herself seeking a divorce on camera, overwhelmed by his persistent Adderall abuse and the emotional infidelities he allegedly engaged in behind her back.

And she admitted her feet began cooling even before she walked down the aisle in 2014. 

She penned that her wedding night was when doubts about her husband’s potential addiction first surfaced for her, adding a sense of regret to the occasion. Although she had requested he avoid alcohol throughout their celebration, she was relieved to observe his compliance with this request.

However, at one of their rented casitas for the bridal party, she observed that he seemed unusually dazed with glassy eyes and was unsteady on his feet. Weeks later, she connected the dots when castmate Tom Sandoval proposed they try some small blue pills, which he claimed were Ecstasy.

Initially, Shay, looking puzzled, responded, “Whoa, hold on! That pill seems like the one you gave me at the wedding. I believed it was Adderall.” Both were taken aback. It turned out that Shay hadn’t planned to get drunk that night; he just wanted an Adderall to stay awake longer. (TopMob News has contacted representatives for Tom and Michael, but they have yet to respond.)

Regardless of her dramatic stints in the first seven seasons, Scheana discovered that she had been relegated to a supporting role (“friend of”) just as she was about to appear on Watch What Happens Live.

In conversation with host Andy Cohen, she shared, “I was crying uncontrollably,” she explained. “He looked at me compassionately and said, ‘Let me tell you, we’re just moments away from going live. I need you to compose yourself, deliver an outstanding performance, and demonstrate to everyone that you truly deserve your place on this show.

She received another distressing call prior to season 10, but this time Scheana attributed it to her ongoing romance with husband Brock Davies. She stated that his past, specifically an admission of slapping his ex-wife and a strained relationship with their children Eli and Winter, did not sit well with the audience.

In my expertise, I often advise that it’s perfectly acceptable for someone to join in on group activities. However, it’s crucial to communicate clearly about scheduling matters, as in this case, we wouldn’t be providing specific call times for them to ensure a smooth flow of events.

In other words, she said, “It felt like a total f–k-you.” 

From Scheana’s perspective, the producers of Vanderpump Rules often seemed to deliberately highlight her less favorable traits. This is supported by the confession of previously fired editor Bri Dellinger, who admitted to searching for her most awkward moments and assembling them. According to Scheana, she had evidence to back this up.

A particularly striking incident occurred when Scheana was asked to converse with Stassi Schroeder’s 15-year-old brother, Nikolai Schroeder, during Stassi’s engagement party.

In her own words, Scheana stated, “I was playfully acting towards him, similar to how I’d interact with a younger sibling, without giving it a second thought.” She added that she inquired about his schoolwork, sports, and possible girlfriends. However, the last episode gave an impression of me flirting with Nikolai. This took me by surprise, as he was only 15 years old.

When Scheana encountered someone she referred to as “DD” during the 2019 Stagecoach Music Festival, they immediately felt a strong bond. Sharing a common passion for Sam Hunt, they spent more time together in Los Angeles, even sharing a kiss at TomTom on one occasion.

Over the coming months, as Scheana put it, things took an unusual turn. We’d often drink together, share intimate moments by kissing, and even led others to believe we were in a relationship.

In this situation, Scheana found herself puzzled, questioning whether she might be attracted to women beyond just being lonely or infatuated with this specific individual, rather than only being interested in men.

Scheana mentioned that it seemed like something beyond friendship yet fell short of a full-blown relationship. She confessed her concern about how her traditional family and VPR audience might react to such a situation. She admitted a part of her wished she had spoken up to DD about her feelings, just to know if DD felt the same way, but the fear of being rejected was stronger than the desire for self-discovery.

At a different music festival in September, they encountered Brock. Initially, he made advances towards DD, but his personality didn’t mesh well with hers, which led her to remark that their connection wasn’t right. As a result, things fell into place between him and Scheana.

Overwhelmed by love after our November trip to Australia and Bali, the duo were out with DD when Scheana playfully mentioned, “And, it was just like old times when she kissed me,” she recounted. “Brock reacted strongly. He declared, ‘You’re my girlfriend now. Such behavior is not acceptable. Our past relationship is over, and if this continues, I’ll leave.’

In October 2020, Scheana announced that she and Brock were expecting their rainbow baby, daughter Summer Moon Honey Davies, not long after Scheana had experienced a miscarriage. Interestingly, they weren’t actively trying to conceive, but as Scheana put it, “Brock could work on his reflexes a bit.

Nine days prior to the start of season 9 filming, Scheana suddenly faced a critical increase in her blood pressure during childbirth, leaving her worried for the outcome after 15 hours.

In that moment, she found herself pursuing the self-centered desire to have a child for a TV show, while her heart rate kept decreasing. (She wrote this)

In her ignorance about having a serious condition of preeclampsia known as HELLP syndrome, Scheana expressed gratitude for being induced. If she hadn’t been induced and instead delivered naturally, the doctors may not have detected her preeclampsia, which could have led to a stroke and potentially proved fatal for her.

Regrettably, the arrival of Summer didn’t alleviate my concerns; instead, it became a regular occurrence when I was administered magnesium intravenously during childbirth. Subsequently, I was diagnosed with postpartum OCD. Now, I can attest that therapy has been instrumental in helping me navigate challenges like adhering to a specific number of Instagram followers (420, to be precise) for years, or my apprehension about visiting Disneyland without assistance.

According to Scheana, she’s been trying out various methods of exposure therapy in her effort to conquer her inner struggles.

Celebrate the intelligence behind the thrilling climax of season nine! It so happened that while the entire cast were in California’s Santa Ynez Valley for James Kennedy and Rachel Leviss’ engagement party, Scheana had planned a secret elopement with her partner, Brock. As she had already gone through extravagant, televised weddings with Shay, her only focus was on marrying Brock.

Moreover, there was a possibility for a 10th season. However, she ultimately rejected the idea, as she felt it might overshadow another bride-to-be. Scheana clarified, “We were all under immense pressure to create an exciting finale, and we understood that our jobs could be at risk if we didn’t meet expectations.

It was decided among Lala Kent, Ariana Madix, and Katie Maloney that Lala would inform James and Rachel about how Scheana might be attempting to capitalize on their special day.

Scheana commented that the revelation would lead to quite a scene and hopefully ensure another season for all involved. In other words, she’s covered in terms of job security!

Following the incident, Scheana disclosed that she returned to the hotel with Brock and Lala in the same vehicle. It turned out that we had all been arguing, but subsequently drove off together in a peaceful manner.

Following a media event in March 2023, Rachel and Schena found themselves at a bar within New York City. Later on, Rachel emerged from the crowd, accompanied by Ariana, who was speaking over the phone with Tom (her boyfriend at that time).

When Scheana enquired about the situation, Rachel appeared puzzled and admitted, “I’ve been involved in a secret relationship with Tom Sandoval for seven months now. Ariana has only recently discovered this fact.

In a fit of anger, Scheana threw Rachel’s phone into the street gutter. When Rachel tried to grab her arm, Scheana explained what happened. “I pushed her away from me,” she said. “She approached me again, so I shoved her once more.

At the hotel later on, I phoned Ariana and exclaimed, “I shoved Raquel and tossed her phone onto the street,” to which she had me on speakerphone with Tom listening in. It seems he misunderstood my actions, thinking I’d struck Raquel instead. While there were certainly strong emotions swirling that evening, let me be clear – I did not physically assault Raquel.

Scheana expressed her upsetness because Rachel allegedly changed her story, she mentioned that Rachel initially filed a police report in L.A. and a temporary restraining order (which was later dropped). Scheana further wrote, “This individual was ready to lie about me, jeopardize my career and reputation, and face potential legal issues for submitting a false report, all just so the media would be more lenient.” Rachel, on the other hand, stated that the TRO was aimed at providing a cooling-off period after she was hit, but she didn’t wish to continue with the permanent order.

During season 10, the Scandoval storyline took center stage; however, another instance of infidelity unfolded within our immediate circle. As whispers circulated about Brock possibly being involved with Rachel, Scheana revealed, “He feared something that was potentially true might come to light, and it was wiser for me to hear it straight from him.

In the spring of 2023, Scheana discovered that Brock, who expressed fear over being a father once more according to her writings, had a short-lived relationship with an old acquaintance during the time when Scheana was pregnant with his child.

In the heat of my fury, I couldn’t hold back; I struck him and tossed a Rubik’s cube towards him, which he managed to avoid. After I had calmed down from that overwhelming rage, however, Scheana started working on resolving the issues in her relationship.

If she had known the truth about Brock, she probably wouldn’t have gotten married. And if she hadn’t had Summer around, her response would have been quite different.

In summary, Scheana explained, “Ultimately, when it was crunch time, I had a significant decision to make. Option A was to relinquish Brock and our family, which would mean squandering our life together, causing my family to fracture, and holding on to the bitterness that was consuming me. Alternatively, Option B was to forgive. This meant releasing the hostility and resentment, and moving forward instead.

It seems that despite being a certified hit, performed on VPR multiple times and even used in an Uber Eats ad, Scheana’s song “Good As Gold” hasn’t brought her any significant income, aside from vinyl sales. She explained this by sharing that early in her career, her manager arranged for her to work with his entertainment lawyer, which may have affected her earnings from the song.

In retrospect, I now realize that having a joint lawyer might not have been beneficial for me, as I was unaware of the implications at the time. However, I placed my trust in him when he asked me to sign certain documents, believing them to be routine and normal.

It seems that one of the documents transferred the ownership of ‘Good As Gold’ to him. Unfortunately, I don’t possess a copy of the contract, and I haven’t been able to obtain one throughout the years. Perhaps I’ll be able to get a copy now.
