Jessica Chastain is loving student life.
As a devoted admirer, I’m proudly immersed in my academic journey at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration. The excitement swelling within me as I strive towards earning this prestigious diploma is truly exhilarating!
As a proponent of intellectual growth, I thrive on embracing fresh challenges and expanding my mental horizons. At the Kering Foundation’s 4th Annual Caring for Women Dinner in New York City last September, I shared this sentiment with TopMob News. To my delight, I discovered that certain educational classes have truly piqued my interest.
In her 48 years, she mentioned her delight in not just mastering statistics but also attending negation courses. These classes have significantly influenced her perspective towards life.
In her recent interview on September 15th, she shared that our last class focused on finding solutions for disagreements. Currently, it seems as though communication has broken down and there’s a lot of discord in society.
However, Jessica, mother to Giuletta, 7, and Augustus, 5, with her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposula, discovered in class that when we begin from a common ground, regardless of our individual identities, there is always something that all parties can concur upon.
If an Oscar-winning individual suggested this, it means that by assuming good intentions on both sides – believing everyone aims for human positivity – we can discover shared ground more easily.
She went on to say, “It seems like that’s the sole solution for our current predicament.” Additionally, “that course I took was incredibly beneficial.
Beyond just her individual classes, Jessica’s overall educational journey at Julliard has been instrumental in filling her with a sense of accomplishment. As she mentioned earlier, her education there allowed her to chart new territory within her family, culminating in her graduation in 2003 and the honorary doctorate she received from the school in 2024.
The “Interstellar” actress remarked during the 38th Annual American Cinematheque Award in December that she was the first in her family to avoid teenage pregnancy, to graduate from high school, and to attend college. She also noted that attending Julliard School didn’t only transform her life; it demonstrated to her family that an alternative route could be pursued.
