Jessie J Hospitalized After Hitting Her Head While Getting Into Car

Jessie J is on the mend after suffering a bang bang to the head.

The singer of “Domino” said she had to go to the hospital after hitting her head while entering a car.

Okay, so she posted this video on Instagram on March 21st, and honestly, I was terrified. She started by saying she thought she’d actually broken her neck, which…can you imagine?! Thankfully, she quickly clarified it wasn’t a break, but she definitely hurt her neck and back, and she immediately told everyone not to even suggest it was broken. I just…I’m so worried about her! It was so scary to watch, and I’ve replayed it like a million times, just hoping she’s okay.

A 37-year-old singer, while touring China, posted a video online showing the moment she bumped her head on the roof of a van. In the video, she tells her team she doesn’t mind riding in the back before the incident happens.

The clip then jumped to Jessie getting an MRI scan in the hospital.

“Hit my head,” she quipped in the caption. “I should of minded squashing in the back.”

Jessie, who shares a 2-year-old son named Sky with her boyfriend Chanan Colman, refused to let her injury keep her from giving an amazing performance. Despite being in pain, the singer of “Who You Are” quickly returned to work.

During soundcheck, she explained she had a stiff neck and couldn’t turn her head. She said she was okay, but would need to take pain medication and push through the performance. She just wanted to quickly get through the show.

This isn’t the first time Jessie has talked about overcoming health issues. She recently shared how difficult the past year has been while fighting breast cancer.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve noticed a trend lately – a lot of pressure to appear happy, especially around the holidays. But honestly? It’s okay not to be! While many are enjoying wonderful things, it’s also a time when a lot of us are quietly dealing with grief, heartbreak, pain, or just needing to reflect. It’s completely normal to feel those things, either alongside the joy or even on its own. It’s important to acknowledge all your feelings, not just the positive ones.

Jessie described 2025 as a challenging but wonderful year, explaining that long-held emotions and experiences were finally coming to light and she was allowing herself to feel them.

She finished by sending support to anyone else going through a tough time, admitting there wasn’t a bright side and simply saying, “I understand, and things really suck sometimes.”

Lupita Nyong’o received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids – non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus – in 2014, the year she won an Academy Award for her acting performance.

She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, people are often told periods are painful and that pain is just something women have to deal with. This leaves many feeling like they’re going through a difficult experience by themselves, when it’s something most women share.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.

Okay, so I saw this hilarious message from a friend on X – you know, formerly Twitter! She was playfully calling me out for being quiet on social media. But get this – her message ended with the most unexpected explanation! Apparently, she’s been dealing with a hernia from… well, let’s just say some very tight pants she wore six months ago, and she’s been too embarrassed to mention it. Honestly, it’s a perfect example of how life throws you curveballs and sometimes, the most relatable struggles come from the most unexpected places. It reminded me that everyone has something going on, and a little humor can get you through anything!

The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.

In a 2025 interview on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast, Devine described the past year as a “nightmare.” He explained that he’s been experiencing spasms throughout his body and that doctors had even told him he was facing a life-threatening situation.

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and doesn’t always function as expected.

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital because of severe back pain. He described being in so much pain that he could only crawl on his hands and knees, and the pain worsened during a recent RV trip with a friend.

He described a strange tingling sensation that reached from his knees to his toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, Trading Secrets. He explained that just a few weeks prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a single squat or stand on one foot without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

I was so shocked to learn earlier this year that I was accidentally shot in the face while on a fun birthday outing with my husband, Brendan Rooney. We were clay pigeon shooting, and unfortunately, an accident happened. It was a scary experience, but thankfully I’m doing okay.

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party. They fired a weapon unsafely, and she was hit five times, with one bullet narrowly missing her right eye. Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluated her injuries, and drove her to the hospital.

The Kim Possible actor explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, but they will keep monitoring the situation, as their vision is currently normal.

As someone who’s spent years observing what truly matters, I was deeply moved by a recent statement from an actress. She shared how incredibly grateful she is to simply be alive. She spoke about her immense love for her daughters, her husband, her family, and friends, and it really resonated with me. She described experiencing a life-changing moment, seeing everything flash before her eyes, and her advice was simple but powerful: cherish the people you’re with and hug them often. It’s a beautiful reminder that life is precious and can change in an instant, so don’t take those connections for granted.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its often harsh nature, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing online comments about her “puffier” face during interviews, she was surprised when doctors began commenting, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome due to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted her to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections for procedures like a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online attention. In a recent newsletter, Schumer expressed relief that her type of Cushing syndrome is self-correcting and that she is healthy, calling it the best possible news.

As a huge hockey fan and someone who follows the AHL closely, I was really shaken to hear about the injury one player suffered in December 2024. He was unfortunately cut by a skate during a game and needed 25 stitches! Thankfully, he made a full recovery, but his dad, Tom Fitzgerald – the GM of the New Jersey Devils – shared with ESPN how incredibly relieved they were. He said, and it really stuck with me, ‘We’re very lucky. I don’t wish that on any parent.’ It just highlights how scary the game can be.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin. She suddenly began to have stroke-like symptoms, unable to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although these symptoms eventually passed, she went to the hospital for tests. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further investigation at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to reach her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the hole in her heart and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus attacks nerves in the ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it became increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, adding that while the situation was frightening and unexpected, he was going to be okay and she was thankful he was fine.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, Foxx explained that he was suffering from a severe headache when he suddenly lost consciousness. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, became worried and took him to the hospital. Doctors discovered he had a brain bleed which led to a stroke.

After surgery, twenty days later, on May 4th, Foxx woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

Foxx expressed his gratitude for the support he received, saying, “I appreciate every prayer, because I needed every prayer.”

I was absolutely shocked to hear our favorite reality star say she actually ‘died’ while running the first challenge on the NBC show! It was so intense to hear her describe it – apparently, she collapsed mid-mile. It was a really scary moment, and I was so relieved to hear she was okay.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembers only darkness, followed by light, leading her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where your body essentially starts to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a severe headache while at the gym, which quickly escalated. She described becoming violently ill and realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – due to a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering incoherently.

Though she was discharged after a month, a follow-up scan in 2013 revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform an incredibly risky operation, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

I’m so relieved to hear Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, is doing better! She went through a really tough time earlier this year – she had a severe stroke in January 2024. She actually texted her family right away, sending them a picture, and she said they all rushed to be with her. It was amazing how quickly they came to her rescue.

Unfortunately, her hospital stay ended up being longer than expected because she’s also dealing with lupus, and her kidneys were starting to fail, so there was a lot going on at once. But thankfully, she’s now on the mend and says she’s doing great! She did have to work on regaining some motor skills, but overall, she’s doing so much better, and it’s wonderful to hear!

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her early twenties. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue – unable to walk for more than five minutes without needing to rest for hours – and constant stomach pain. She faced a confusing array of diagnoses from different doctors. Determined to find answers, Woodley, who has a background in herbalism, sought help from both traditional doctors and alternative healers. This search for well-being lasted for ten years. The physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image and identity. Ultimately, after addressing both her physical and mental health, Woodley has made a full recovery and is now very healthy and happy.
