The comedy world has said goodbye to one of their own.
Jeff Garcia, a comedian and voice actor famous for his work on cartoons like The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, Barnyard, and Happy Feet, passed away on December 10th at the age of 50, his son announced on Instagram.
Jojo Garcia shared a heartfelt message on Instagram December 10th, describing his father as a truly one-of-a-kind person. He wrote that his father always stayed true to himself, and Jojo will forever cherish his love, kindness, and determination.
Jojo, who is also a comedian, posted a series of photos with Jeff and explained that his father instilled many valuable lessons and gave advice he still follows daily.
Jojo shared, “He wasn’t just family – a father, son, uncle, cousin, and brother – he was my very best friend.” I spoke with him daily, sharing my comedy aspirations and everything happening in my life. He had unwavering faith in me, more than anyone else ever has.”
He also praised his father’s comedian talents, writing that Jeff was “truly one of a kind.”
Jojo remembered him as incredibly funny and charismatic, excelling in everything from voice acting to stand-up comedy. He touched the lives of people around the world, whether through his role in Jimmy Neutron or his hilarious live performances. Jojo said he was a hero and someone she truly admired.

Jeff, also a father to Savannah, was a familiar face in both comedy and voice acting. He performed stand-up in clubs throughout California and recently reprised his role as Sheen Estevez from Jimmy Neutron in the 2025 video game, Nicktoons & The Dice of Destiny.
Jojo, son of Lisa Garcia and Jeff’s ex-wife, didn’t share details about his father’s passing. He did thank fans for their support and requested privacy for his family as they grieve.

And although Jeff is gone, his son is positive his dad’s legacy will never be forgotten.
Jojo finished by saying that his father would live on through everyone who loved him, and through all he accomplished. He expressed his belief that his father was now in a peaceful place, free from pain, and looking down with a smile. He promised to make him proud, affectionately calling him “Rocket Man” and wishing him well on his final journey.
