As a seasoned cinephile who has weathered countless cinematic storms and embraced every genre with open arms, I must admit that the trailer for Jitters has piqued my curiosity like no other. The premise of Detective Collymore, a single divorced father, unraveling a mysterious case involving the eerie town of Jitters, seems to be a blend of classic detective drama and modern-day horror – a tantalizing combination that I can’t help but be intrigued by.

Anticipation, in simple terms, refers to the sensation you experience when a TV host announces, for instance, ‘And now it’s the Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special’. In this case, however, it’s the title of a fresh horror film, and the anticipation arises upon viewing the Jitters trailer, which has recently been released.

Investigating officer Detective Collymore, who’s a divorced dad and solo parent, finds himself entangled in an enigmatic incident surrounding the seemingly natural demise of Tiffany. As he delves further, he uncovers the sinister truth behind the ominous entity known as Jitters!

The upcoming film is directed by Marc Zammit, who’s known for movies like ‘Witch’. In the lead role, we have Daniel Jordan portraying Jitters, a character reminiscent of our Editor after a Christmas bash (one might say “You’re fired!” – Ed). Joining him are Jessica Impiazzi, Lauren Budd, Amelie Leroy, and Fabrizio Santino as Detective Collymore. From the trailer, it seems this could be the start of a series. As of now, a release date is yet to be announced, but keep an eye out for it in early 2025.
