The British-set Australian thriller series, titled “One Night,” featuring Jodie Whittaker, became accessible in the United Kingdom for a limited period, premiering on Paramount+ in November 2023 before being taken down from the service in February 2024.
At last, UK enthusiasts who previously missed out will now get an opportunity to view it, and interestingly, they can do so without any charge.
As a dedicated movie critic, I’m thrilled to share the news that all six episodes of this highly anticipated series are soon to grace our screens on ITV, specifically ITV1 and ITVX. For our friends in Scotland, STV and STV Player have you covered! Although the precise release date is yet to be announced, we can look forward to it gracing our TVs sometime in August. Stay tuned for more details!
In this show, Whittaker, Nicole da Silva, and Yael Stone portray three women whose strong connection was nearly torn apart by a fateful night’s traumatic occurrences, which took place twenty years prior.
Ever since then, Simone (Nicole da Silva) has held secret dreams of being a novelist. However, most of her half-hearted attempts at writing have been tucked away in her drawer. At the age of 40, she has finally penned down the story that she could never shake off her mind, and it turns out to be an unforeseen smash hit as a debut manuscript.

However, it quickly becomes clear that the heart-wrenching tale the book relates isn’t solely hers. At its core, Simone’s novel unfolds a tragedy that also befallen Tess (portrayed by Jodie Whittaker) and Hat (played by Yael Stone), her two cherished childhood friends.
In the face of growing difficulty in distinguishing truth from falsehood, one person’s recollections and narratives from another’s, the book seems poised to disrupt all their friendships. This reawakens ancient traumas within the tight-knit coastal community they originate from, stirring up those who wish to suppress these events.
Most recently, Jodie Whittaker was spotted once more embodying The Thirteenth Doctor in Ncuti Gatwa’s swansong episode of Doctor Who. Additionally, this year saw her gracing the screen in Jack Thorne’s Netflix series titled Toxic Town.
