Joe Jonas is only human.
He responded to a critic who made a dismissive comment about the Camp Rock 3 teaser trailer. The critic suggested the Jonas Brothers might have only agreed to participate because they were in financial trouble, asking, “Are the Jonas Brothers in serious debt or something?” He shared the Disney trailer and addressed the comment directly.
Joe, appearing in the third film with his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas, playfully responded with a line from the movie: “Hopefully, Connect 3 doesn’t go back to the beginning.”
Disney released a short trailer on December 4th, giving fans a glimpse of the Jonas Brothers’ band, Connect 3, returning to Camp Rock – the place where their musical journey began. In the trailer, band members Shane Gray (played by Joe Jonas), Nate (Nick Jonas), and Jason (Kevin Jonas) walk towards the lake at an empty Camp Rock as their song “Wouldn’t Change a Thing” plays.
“We’re back,” Shane exclaims. “Exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
Making a callback to his character’s one wish for camp, Jason adds, “Still no birdhouse.”
Disney revealed more about the third Camp Rock movie in September. The film, executive produced by Demi Lovato, will feature a new group of young campers played by Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, and Lumi Pollack. Maria Canals-Barrera will also return as Connie Torres, who now owns the camp.

Connect 3 is kicking off a major reunion tour, but they’re missing an opening act. They return to Camp Rock, the place where it all began, to find fresh talent. As campers compete for the coveted opening slot, drama unfolds – friendships are strained, surprising partnerships form, secrets come to light, and sparks fly.
Being back on the set sparked a lot of nostalgia for the Jonas Brothers, who are currently touring to mark their 20th anniversary.
Joe shared with People magazine that he was overwhelmed with emotion, saying he hadn’t anticipated such a strong reaction. “Oh man. I didn’t expect to be hit like this,” he said in a recent interview.
While making the movie, Joe, Nick, and Kevin came to a key understanding about the roles they were playing.
“We didn’t know and still don’t,” Nick shared, “if Connect 3 are brothers or not.”
Kevin hinted that it might happen, explaining, “There’s some mention of it, but not really in the first installment.”
In the end, things went well for Nick, as they were able to revisit and strengthen a significant part of their professional life.
He called it “brilliant” and said he found it really funny. He praised the story and characters, admitting it was a bit complicated but still fantastic. He expressed pride in this period of their work and being involved with Disney, and they were excited to introduce a new group of characters to continue the story.

He was Shane Gray for crying out loud!
Joe Jonas, the lead singer of the Jonas Brothers, starred as a brooding rock star in the movie Camp Rock, a role he playfully references by often re-enacting scenes from the film for his fans.
Everyone thought Joe would go solo after the group broke up in 2013, particularly since he’d already released a solo album before the split. However, he actually found fame with his band, DNCE, and their popular song, “Cake By the Ocean.”
Plus there was that whole Jonas Brothers rebirth.
Before marrying Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones in 2016, Joe dated Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid. They got engaged in October 2017.
After the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Joe and Sophie had a secret wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, playfully exchanging ring pops instead of traditional wedding rings. They later celebrated with a more formal wedding in France.
The couple had two daughters, Willa, born in July 2020, and Delphine, who was born two years after. They announced they were separating in 2023.
She told Harper’s Bazaar in 2024 that the breakup was really difficult. “We had a wonderful connection, and it was heartbreaking,” she explained.

Demi Lovato became well-known playing Mitchie Torres, and then went on to star in her own Disney Channel show, Sonny With a Chance, for two seasons.
Demi’s career really blossomed after leaving the network, with popular songs like “Confident,” “Sorry, Not Sorry,” and “Cool for the Summer,” plus seven full albums. She also appeared as a judge on The X Factor and had roles on shows like Glee and Will & Grace.
The pop star got engaged to Max Ehrich in July 2020, but they broke up after just two months. She then began dating musician Jutes in August 2022, and they got married in May 2025.
Demi Lovato has openly discussed her struggles with mental health for the past ten years. In the 2021 documentary series, Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, she detailed her life-threatening drug overdose in 2018.

Though the youngest brother played a smaller role as drummer Nate Gray in two films, Nick Jonas was the only one to continue acting. He’s known for his roles in the intense MMA drama Kingdom and the TV show Scream Queens. He also appeared in the hugely successful 2017 film Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and its 2019 sequel. In 2020, Nick further expanded his career by becoming a coach on NBC’s The Voice.
Nick also found success as a solo musician, releasing two albums and achieving a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his single, “Jealous.”
In 2019, after The Jonas Brothers announced their reunion and released the popular song “Sucker,” Nick Jonas publicly accepted responsibility for the band’s split five years earlier in their documentary, Chasing Happiness.
He married actress Priyanka Chopra in a lavish, multi-day wedding celebration in India in December 2018. They welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022.

“Yeah man, this is where Connect 3…connected.”
The oldest Jonas brother played Jason Gray, a member of the popular band in the movie and a fan of Camp Rock. The brothers later starred in their own Disney Channel show, Jonas, which ran for two seasons, all while continuing to record and release music as The Jonas Brothers.
After the band took a break in 2010, Kevin Jonas focused on his family with Danielle Jonas. They had two daughters, Alena Rose in 2014 and Valentina Angelina in 2016. The couple also appeared in the reality series Married to Jonas. Kevin also became an entrepreneur, starting JonasWerner, a real estate and construction company, and serving as CEO of The Blu Market Company. He even made a quick appearance on The Real Housewives of New Jersey as a contractor.

Following successful roles in films like Step Up and Cheaper by the Dozen, as well as appearances on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Alyson Stoner landed the role of Caitlyn Gellar, a young woman hoping to become a producer and dancer.
In addition to appearing in two Step Up sequels, Alyson has done voice work for the Kingdom Hearts video games and still voices the character Isabella on Disney’s popular animated show Phineas & Ferb.
I remember being so moved when Alyson wrote about falling for their dance teacher in Teen Vogue back in 2018 – it was such a brave and honest piece! And then, they turned those feelings into art with the song “When It’s Right,” which is just beautiful and clearly inspired by that special connection.
Speaking with TopMob News, they admitted coming out was a bit frightening, but ultimately worth it. They explained it’s a really exciting and liberating time, allowing them to truly be themselves.
In 2019, Alyson showcased a shaved head in their music video, “Stripped Bare,” and later shared their experiences with mental health challenges and recovery from an eating disorder.
As she shared with People magazine, “It was amazing how much baggage – doubts, worries, and insecurities – I let go of with every haircut, and I’m happy to leave it all behind.”
Later that year, the group gained significant attention after a memorable performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. They joined forces with Missy Elliott to perform “Work It,” a song they originally appeared in the music video for 17 years prior.
In August 2025, Alyson released their memoir Semi-Well-Adjusted Despite Literally Everything.

Following her role as the glamorous Tess Tyler in Camp Rock, Meaghan starred in Mean Girls 2 and then played Bianca Stratford in the television series 10 Things I Hate About You.
Besides appearing on shows like Jessie, Melissa & Joey and House, Meaghan had a recurring role on MTV’s Awkward. In 2019, she also made her first stage appearance in London, performing in The Actor’s Nightmare.
Meaghan married British actor Oli Higginson in September 2016.

Oh my gosh, Roshon Fegan! I first fell in love with him when he played Sander Loyer in Camp Rock – he was amazing as the dancer and rapper! But then, seriously, he landed a role on Shake It Up and was on Disney Channel for three whole years! And with Zendaya and Bella Thorne, no less! I was obsessed with that show, and of course, with him! He was just perfect.
He appeared on Dancing With the Stars in 2012 and has also been a guest on popular TV shows like Insecure, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Greenleaf.
Fegan started his own record label, Iconomous, and releases music under the name ROSHON.

Besides playing camper Ella Pador, Anna Maria is also remembered for her role as Ashley Dewitt on the popular show Hannah Montana. Following Hannah Montana, she appeared in guest roles on Baby Daddy and the Charmed reboot on The CW, and she starred in the 2011 Broadway production of Godspell.
Former Disney star Bridgit Mendler married Scott Kline Jr. in 2019. Uzo Aduba, known for her role in Orange Is the New Black, was her maid of honor. They had a daughter, Amelia Grace, in June 2021.

The Canadian rapper and actor starred as the breakdancer Barron James in both Camp Rock films. Now, he’s pursuing a career as a songwriter, producer, and choreographer.
Jordan remained friends with Demi, posting a sweet Instagram tribute in December 2019.
He wrote that he’d known me for over ten years and that I’d always been a true friend to him and his family. He finished by saying he’d always support me.

As a lifestyle expert, I always find it interesting to look at cast changes in popular franchises! In the case of Camp Rock, Aaryn, who played the talented Lola Scott in the first movie, was one of the few original cast members who didn’t come back for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.
After becoming known for her role in a Disney Channel Original Movie, the Canadian performer continues to act and sing, and also has her own YouTube channel.

Jasmine Richards, a Canadian singer, played Margaret “Peggy” Dupree in both Camp Rock films. Before that, she was on the TV show Naturally, Sadie, and later she appeared in Bomb Girls.
Jasmine married Mike Caci in September 2018, and they had a son, Luke, in September 2021. She works as a content creator and manages social media.

The actor who played Brown Cesario, the camp owner, has since appeared in popular television series including 90210, Orphan Black, Reign, Atlanta, and House of the Dragon. He previously starred alongside Rupert Grint (known from Harry Potter) in the Snatch TV series and became a regular cast member starting with the second season.
Daniel also appeared in Netflix’s 2017 movie A Christmas Prince and 2025’s The Last Supper.

Julie’s Dee La Duke helped mentor the campers as the musical director in both films.
She was a regular on the TV show The Middle for multiple seasons. She also appeared in shows like Coffee House Chronicles and the 2023 movie Craft Me a Romance, and she contributed as a writer to the sitcom Melissa & Joey.
