As a diehard fan, I’m sharing some disappointing news about John Wick Hex, the thrilling strategy game inspired by the movie franchise from Devolver Digital’s Big Fan Games label. Mark your calendars, as the game will no longer be available for purchase starting July 17th. However, if you already own a copy, whether digitally or physically, you can still enjoy it. It’s just that after this date, it won’t be up for grabs anymore.
Created by Bithell Games (who recently unveiled Tron: Catalyst to positive feedback), Hex boasts an exclusive narrative centered around the notorious Baba Yaga. Although Keanu Reeves doesn’t provide his voice, you can anticipate actors Lance Reddick and Ian McShane reprising their roles.
The cause behind the game’s removal wasn’t disclosed, but it might be due to high licensing expenses. Launched in 2019 on PC via the Epic Games Store, the game later became available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam. It received some favorable critiques but ultimately scored Metascores in the 70s. For additional information, read our review – we gave it a score of seven out of ten.
