JoJo Siwa Shares Birthday Message for Boyfriend Chris Hughes

It’s time for JoJo Siwa to celebrate. 

The Dance Moms star celebrated her boyfriend, Chris Hughes’s, 33rd birthday by sharing how important he is to her and everyone who cares about him.

On December 22nd, JoJo shared a sweet message on Instagram celebrating the birthday of someone special, writing, “33 years ago today was a really good day… the day my favorite person was born. Happy birthday to my love!”

The 22-year-old, who first met Chris while competing on the U.K. version of Celebrity Big Brother in April, explained how important the former Love Island contestant has become to her life.

She told him she couldn’t picture her life without him, calling him her best friend, son, brother, and boyfriend. He brightens every day for her, and she feels lucky to know him, just like everyone else. She finished by saying she loved him immensely – even more than tater tots!

In addition to a heartfelt message, JoJo posted pictures from the birthday celebration. The photos showed the TV personality blowing out candles on a soccer-themed cake, with decorations to match.

After publicly confirming their relationship in June, the couple has given fans glimpses into their loving connection. Chris has stated he didn’t intend to propose during the holidays, but he’s convinced he’s found the perfect partner in the singer of “Karma.”

He told TopMob News in July that she’s not only the love of his life, but also his closest friend, saying they enjoy simply spending time together, even if they’re not doing anything special.

For this couple, happiness is simply enjoying each other’s company, like relaxing on the couch with a cup of tea.

He continued, saying they often lost themselves in their own little world together, right there in the living room.

And that natural compatibility is what has made their relationship work.

JoJo recently told TopMob News that meeting her partner felt like fate. She explained, “It felt like the universe was telling us we were meant to be together.” Both had been in previous relationships, but she believes that’s why their connection feels so natural and effortless. They enjoy each other’s company and prioritize keeping things fun and relaxed.

August 1st, 2020 was a special day for JoJo Siwa, who was 17 at the time. She finally revealed she had a boyfriend, someone she liked even more than her celebrity crushes on actors Patrick Dempsey and Zac Efron.

The former Dance Moms star enthusiastically told Jessalynn Siwa about the musician, saying she couldn’t have asked for anyone better.

But by that November, the pair were no longer in harmony. 

JoJo Siwa spoke out on Instagram to defend her former boyfriend, saying he doesn’t deserve the negativity he’s receiving. She asked people to support him, explaining that they don’t know the full story of their relationship – how much joy they shared and how happy they were together. Siwa clarified that they simply decided it was best for them to go their separate ways, and that was the only reason for the breakup.

JoJo Siwa and Kylie Prew first became friends on a cruise in 2020, but their relationship blossomed a year later. Siwa announced on Instagram in February 2021 that she was officially dating Prew, calling her an exceptional person.

Siwa also thanked her girlfriend, calling her incredibly supportive and saying she encouraged her to be herself. She had already created content with Pride House, a group of LGBTQ+ TikTok creators, and posted a TikTok of herself dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” She was considering whether to share a photo of her new shirt that read “Best Gay Cousin Ever.”

JoJo Siwa explained on The Tonight Show that she mentioned wanting to share a photo on her Instagram Reels story, and her friend immediately encouraged her to go for it. Siwa said she felt good about it after getting that support and decided to post the picture.

JoJo Siwa and her former partner moved in together, a decision Siwa now regrets, as she shared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in April 2024. They broke up in October of the same year, but shared one last dance together in 2022.

JoJo Siwa told Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast that she and Avery Cyrus are still close and talk frequently.

JoJo Siwa said in March 2022 on the Rachel Uncensored podcast that she’s in a relationship and isn’t looking to date anyone else, stating, ‘I’m a loyal lady.’

She’d played the field, she continued, and snagged herself a catch in Katie Mills. 

I’ve been working hard and figuring things out,” Siwa said with a smile. “I’m really happy with where I’m at now.

But safe to say her romance with the TikToker wasn’t all fun and games. 

After Siwa shared a video in March 2023 criticizing past relationships for manipulative tactics and attention-seeking behavior, Mills responded with some pointed comments of her own.

Honestly, I reached a point where I just had to speak up. It’s so confusing when someone can profess their love for you one minute, then completely disappear the next. And then, to turn around and publicly accuse you of seeking attention or being overly affectionate? It doesn’t add up, and it’s incredibly hurtful. I needed to address that disconnect and share how damaging that behavior can be.

She also pointed out that Siwa was the first to share their relationship with the public, but Mills always asked for her permission before posting anything about it online. Mills emphasized that she has text messages to back up her claim, and warned people not to question her about it.

It’s safe to say Avery Cyrus, who briefly dated JoJo Siwa in 2022, hasn’t become a major star herself.

To celebrate their one-year anniversary, the singer described her relationship as a dream come true. She explained to TopMob News that their personalities blended perfectly, which she felt was key to a good partnership. She also shared that her partner’s positivity lifts her up, and she believes she has the same effect on her partner.

Everything felt different that December. It was awful – just two days after Miley Cyrus admitted they’d broken up, JoJo Siwa started hinting online about someone who’d totally used her for clout. I was glued to my phone, trying to figure out who she meant, honestly. It felt like a huge mess and I needed to know everything!

She complained in a December 2022 video—which her mother posted to Instagram—that she was manipulated for attention and popularity. She felt she’d been deceived into believing someone cared for her and ultimately taken advantage of.

For Cyrus, though, their dalliance wasn’t a game. 

We ended things with JoJo on good terms and remain friends,” she told TopMob News. “Our connection was genuine, and I have a lot of love for JoJo and her family.

Dakayla Wilson finished as a runner-up on season 18 of So You Think You Can Dance, but she clearly made a strong impression on judge JoJo Siwa. Siwa revealed in an August TikTok that she took time off from her own work to help Wilson teach a dance class, effectively confirming their romantic relationship.

For months, Wilson was a wonderful dance partner. JoJo Siwa revealed he supported her desire to have triplets and generously spent $30,000 to celebrate her 19th birthday with a trip to Hawaii.

The former Nickelodeon star told TopMob News he’s deeply in love. He described his girlfriend as incredibly special and said he feels lucky to have her in his life.

But it turned out that Wilson wasn’t all Siwa wanted for Christmas. 

JoJo Siwa shared with People magazine in November 2024 that she and her ex-partner have parted ways, describing her former girlfriend as a wonderful person. Siwa also mentioned she has her own plans for the holidays and knows her ex is spending time with her family.

In January 2025, Siwa publicly confirmed she was dating Kath Ebbs, referring to the Australian content creator as her girlfriend.

Ebbs responded with affection, sharing pictures of them kissing online that same month. They celebrated their connection on Instagram with a post saying, “Just a little queer happiness for your feed!”

I was absolutely gutted when I found out! Apparently, just three months after everything seemed perfect, Ebbs and I broke up – and get this, it happened at the wrap party for Celebrity Big Brother UK! Can you believe it? Right there, amidst all the glitter and cameras… it was awful!

In an April 2025 TikTok, Ebbs explained that she’d been told there were mixed emotions and that the other housemates had come to the conclusion they didn’t see a future with her.

However, Siwa maintained that this wasn’t a situation where she could easily be swapped out, even though she was close friends with fellow housemate Chris Hughes.

While filming, JoJo Siwa realized she had some much-needed space to think. As she explained on ITV’s This Morning with Holly Hughes, she found herself disconnected from the opinions of others and able to reflect on her own life. This led to a powerful realization: she’d been accepting things that weren’t okay with her all along.

Siwa didn’t win Celebrity Big Brother UK, but she found something even better on the show: a romantic connection with fellow contestant Chris Hughes. They became a couple after filming wrapped in spring 2025.

She excitedly told Keltie Knight of TopMob News at the opening of Universal’s Epic Universe on May 21st that Christopher is her favorite person to discuss. She quickly added, ‘That sounded weird – he’s not a ‘thing,’ he’s my favorite person!’

And, yet, she kept reiterating, they were just friends. Until they weren’t. 

I was so thrilled to hear JoJo Siwa confirm that her relationship with Kylie Prew has become romantic! She told The Guardian that things have really blossomed, and it’s been amazing to watch. She said she’s completely in love with Kylie, and the best part is, he feels exactly the same way about her. It’s just such a beautiful connection, and I’m so happy for them both!

She still feels the term “queer” best describes her identity and how she sees herself. However, she prioritizes connecting with people based on who they are, rather than focusing on labels.

JoJo Siwa pointed out that there are many different ways people identify sexually. She believes it’s wonderful when someone figures out who they are.
