The animated series Hazbin Hotel has returned with the release of the first two episodes of its second season! The show is gaining popularity both within its fictional world and among fans, even catching the attention of major anime figures. Voice actress Ai Fairouz, known for her work on popular series like Chainsaw Man, Dragon Ball Daima, Kaiju No. 8, and Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, is a big fan. She’s perhaps most famous for voicing Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, but even she couldn’t resist checking out Hazbin Hotel.
Fairouz recently shared a striking look on Instagram, closely resembling Alastor, the popular “radio demon” character from the animated series Hazbin Hotel. Alastor, known as a complex friend and foe to the main characters, has quickly become a fan favorite within the show’s universe, known as the Hellaverse. With the second season promising to delve deeper into Alastor’s backstory, the already imaginative series is set to expand even further. You can see Fairouz’s inspired look below.
Hazbin Hotel: Revealing Alastor’s Backstory

The first two episodes of Hazbin Hotel season two delved into the backstory of Sir Pentious, showing us his life before he died and ended up in Hell. Before the season premiered, creator Vivienne Medrano teased that Pentious wouldn’t be the only character with a revealed past. This season will also uncover the Radio Demon’s life before his arrival in Hell, and Medrano is eager to share those details.
Last year, the creator of Hazbin Hotel explained that making the character’s backstory official was a major goal. They’ve been developing this character and their history for a long time, and they’re thrilled to finally share the definitive, on-screen version with fans. It feels like a complete journey for them, both as a writer and because of their long connection to the character.
Even though Jolyne Cujoh likely won’t be back for the next season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, fans are still excited to jump back into the Joestar family’s story. Next year, Netflix will release The Steel Ball Run, a new installment set in a different world where Stand users compete in a cross-country horse race for a chance to fulfill their wishes. The series will feature fresh takes on familiar Joestar characters. While Ai Fairouz, who voiced Jolyne, hasn’t been announced as part of the cast, anything is possible with creator Hirohiko Araki at the helm. Considered one of the best parts of the JoJo’s series, anime fans can look forward to Steel Ball Run arriving in 2026.
