Jonathan Owens Says He Was Almost Robbed in Milan Amid Winter Olympics

Jonathan Owens recently found himself on the defensive end.

I was so thrilled to see Jonathan and Simone at the Winter Olympics – what a fantastic surprise! But I was really shocked to hear he almost became a victim of a robbery while they were enjoying Milan. It’s scary to think about, and I’m just glad he’s okay.

Someone actually tried to steal my shopping bag today! Luckily, I always loop the strap around my hand, so they couldn’t grab it. I immediately ran away, but it was still a shocking experience.

Someone commented on social media that Jonathan’s latest move was a bit of a surprising one, given what he’s done with his career so far. But honestly, he seemed totally unfazed and even joked about not being too concerned with what people thought!

He wasn’t fast at all, he said, laughing that his arms were moving quicker than his legs. Apparently, his face dropped when he saw I’d turned around and he couldn’t reach for it.

Jonathan also seemed prepared to take action, even agreeing with someone else that he should have confronted the person right away.

“I know, it sounds crazy, but there was absolutely no way I could get it off myself,” Jonathan said. “I’d seen so many videos on TikTok of that happening, so I was ready for it.”

Simone, the Olympic athlete, showed everything was okay by sharing what they’d been up to all day.

Hailey Bieber shared a photo on Instagram of herself with Justin Bieber shopping at Bottega Veneta in Italy, with the caption, “Always spoiling me.”

Simone and Jonathan were recently seen out together after attending the men’s singles skating event on February 13th.

Simone, the most decorated American Olympic gymnast right now, playfully admitted she might not be quite as graceful on the ice as she is on the balance beam.

She admitted to the audience that while she could skate, she wasn’t at the level of the incredible athletes performing that night.

Honestly, I have so much respect for everyone involved – they’re all incredibly talented. I’m a huge supporter and I’m genuinely hoping they succeed. I’m just really looking forward to seeing what happens next, I’m so excited!
