Josh Allen Reveals One Lesson From Hailee Steinfeld Marriage

Josh Allen‘s greatest play happened off the field. 

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen says being married to Hailee Steinfeld – whom he wed in May after dating for two years – has taught him a valuable life lesson.

In an interview with ESPN that aired on October 13th, Josh told Marty Smith, “I’m more than just a football player.”

He shared that achieving this role was a lifelong dream, and it was the only thing he’d ever focused on.

The 29-year-old considers his wedding day the most important day of his life, and he says building a life and home with his 28-year-old partner, Hailee, has been the most rewarding part of it so far.

Josh raved about his wife, calling her incredibly talented and a wonderful person. He said she’s everything he could ever want in a partner.

But that doesn’t mean he’s put his football dreams aside. 

As Josh noted, “I hope I still get to play this game for a very long time.”

Hailee also believes her marriage is a huge success. She recently shared that being married has helped her appreciate a more relaxed lifestyle, even with her busy acting career.

Hailee told *Variety* that because her work is so spontaneous and her partner’s job has a fixed schedule, it’s great when she can arrange her time to be with him.

As Josh plays in NFL games during the 2025 season, his wife, the actress known as Sinners, is pausing her acting work to support him.

Ugh, this time of year is *everything*. It’s when I can finally just relax, recharge, and be there for him, you know? It’s like, my whole world slows down to match his pace, and I get to really *live*. But honestly? When his season ends, that’s when *my* real life begins! During Paris Fashion Week, the actress from *The Edge of Seventeen* and her NFL player boyfriend were seen on a date, both wearing similar khaki-colored outfits.

The football player publicly confirmed his relationship by sharing a photo of him and his partner in front of the Eiffel Tower on Instagram on July 23rd.

Posted in that same photo dump, the “Starving” singer squeezed in for a photo with Josh’s family. 

Reporter Kay Adams, on her show *Up & Adams*, playfully nicknamed him “Mr. Hard Launch.” When asked about his relationship with Hailee, he shyly responded, “We love love.”

Hailee and Josh announced their engagement on Instagram on November 29th with a photo of Josh proposing and Hailee accepting with a kiss. They revealed they got engaged on November 22, 2024.

 

Josh and Hailee quickly became a public couple, appearing together on the red carpet at the NFL Honors just months after getting engaged. While accepting his MVP award, Josh lovingly acknowledged Hailee in his speech.

He told her she was his constant support and closest friend, and that he wouldn’t be where he was today without her.
