The popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen is currently on a short break before its next episode, but one of the animators is excited for fans to finally see it. The third season has been very impressive so far, and it’s only going to get more action-packed as it nears the end of this story arc. With only a few episodes remaining in the first part of the Culling Game arc (based on the original manga), fans are eagerly awaiting each new installment.
I noticed that episode 8 of Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 isn’t airing this week. It’s been delayed a week, but the animation’s chief director, Hiromi Niwa, shared some exciting news online. She explained that the break is actually well-timed, giving viewers a chance to catch up on everything that’s happened so far before the story really ramps up.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Director Addresses Episode 8 Delay
I’m so glad the director is giving us a recap episode right before things really heat up with the Culling Game! It’s such a smart move – it’ll be awesome to revisit what everyone’s aiming for and how they’re feeling heading into this massive challenge. They mentioned it’s also perfect for us fans, letting us catch up if we need to or just enjoy the whole thing however we want – binge-watching or keeping up week by week. I’m seriously hyped for what’s coming next!
The director shared some exciting news about Episode 55 (Season 8), even after its delay. He said the episode is so good, new viewers can jump right in without needing to know anything about the show beforehand. He encouraged even those unfamiliar with Jujutsu Kaisen to start with Episode 55. Because of the upcoming break, he suggests watching next week’s recap to get up to speed, but assures fans they can still easily catch up whenever they’re ready.
What’s Next for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3?

The first part of the Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game arc is nearing its end this March, leaving little time to speculate on future events. Now that Yuji and Megumi have entered the dangerous tournament, viewers can expect to meet many new characters as the competition for points heats up. Fans are particularly excited about the upcoming appearances of several key characters, and thankfully, they won’t have to wait much longer to see them.
The Culling Game is a crucial story arc in Gege Akutami’s manga, as it sets the stage for the series’ final events. While important developments still need to occur, they probably won’t be animated until the fourth season of the anime.
