Following his departure from MAPPA in March 2021, Sunghoo Park, who directed the first season of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen‘ and its prequel, founded E&H Production. A new director was appointed for the second season of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, allowing Sunghoo to focus on his own studio. The popular series ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ has earned praise for Sunghoo’s work in its first season, and he is also recognized for his work on the anime adaptation of ‘The God of High School’. In 2024, Sunghoo released the action-packed series ‘Ninja Kamui’, which attracted much attention. His latest project, ‘Bullet/Bullet’, an original net anime set to premiere on Disney+, is his most recent endeavor.

One day, he was cruelly attacked and his family was murdered by assassins from his former clan seeking revenge for his betrayal. This tragic event propels him to embark on a journey of vengeance, using his ninja abilities to avenge his loved ones. The animation is renowned for its fast-paced and seamless action sequences, stunning visuals, and detailed character designs. Sunghoo’s newest series takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, marking another original tale from the same studio. As announced in the latest promo from Bullet/Bullet’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, the series is scheduled for release on July 16th.

What Is the Plot of Bullet/Bullet?

In this unique production by Kindaichi, creator of Uma Musume Cinderella Gray, the plot revolves around a band of misfits who inadvertently swipe global secrets. The narrative unfolds with exhilarating car chases and intense battles. As the tale progresses, these thieves uncover one startling truth about the world after another. Ultimately, the destiny of this world rests on their shoulders as they risk everything to transform it.

As a dedicated enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Yoshimatsu Takahiro, renowned for his exceptional work on “Hunter x Hunter,” takes the helm as both the character designer and general animation director. On the other hand, Tenjin Hidetaka, who’s made a name for himself in mecha and world design across various anime and video games, is the mastermind behind the concept and mechanical design of “Bullet/Bullet.” Lastly, Misawa Shin, the visionary director behind “Initial D First Stage,” brings his expertise to the table as the car action director for this spectacular show.

More Works By E&H Production

Though Ninja Kamui garnered significant attention due to Sunghoo Park’s fame, it’s worth noting that E&H Production also produced another highly regarded piece – the one-episode special, Monsters, in 2024. This work is an adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s prequel manga, Monsters: 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation. The story revolves around Ryuma, a legendary swordsman from Wano, who once possessed the legendary sword Shusui, now wielded by Zoro during the Wano Country Saga. The legend of Ryuma stretches back two centuries, when he is said to have single-handedly defeated a dragon.

In that same year, E&H Production introduced “Red Cat Ramen,” a show inspired by a Japanese manga series penned and illustrated by Angyaman. The narrative unfolds in a cat-run ramen shop, where the main character, Tamako Yashiro, is a human woman working part-time. The story primarily revolves around her and her talking feline coworkers’ daily shenanigans.
