Fans of *Jujutsu Kaisen* are eagerly awaiting the third season next year. To help everyone remember what’s happened – especially the intense Shibuya Incident Arc – the studio MAPPA is releasing a special movie. *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution* will not only recap the story of Yuji Itadori so far, but also give a sneak peek at what’s coming next. A new trailer has just been released, offering a closer look at this film that revisits both the past and the future of the series.
This movie combines the thrilling Shibuya Incident arc and the start of the Culling Game from the third season. GKIDS describes it as a story beginning with a mysterious veil falling over crowded Shibuya during Halloween, trapping everyone inside. Satoru Gojo, a remarkably powerful jujutsu sorcerer, arrives on the scene, only to find that curse users and spirits are plotting to trap *him*. Yuji Itadori and his fellow sorcerers join the battle, leading to an intense and unprecedented clash of curses.
I’m so hyped for this movie! It picks up after a huge event where ten cities in Japan have become overrun with curses, all thanks to this incredibly powerful and evil sorcerer, Noritoshi Kamo. Then, things *really* get intense – the Culling Game begins, and Yuta Okkotsu, a really strong sorcerer, is tasked with… well, with executing Yuji! It’s a showdown between two of Satoru Gojo’s top students, and we get a sneak peek at their epic battle right in theaters. Seriously, you won’t want to miss the start of Season 3 – it’s going to be amazing!
Jujutsu Kaisen: Getting Up To Speed
The Shibuya Incident dramatically altered things for Yuji Itadori and his fellow students at Jujutsu Tech. After losing Nanami and Nobara, Yuji is forced to go into hiding because of Sukuna, and now depends on his brother, Choso, for help. The situation is escalating rapidly as cursed energy users are drawn into conflict by Suguru Geto’s Culling Game, promising an explosive third season. The first three episodes of the new season will be released as a movie, and many anime fans are expected to see it in theaters.
Though the main story of the manga *Jujutsu Kaisen* has finished, the creator, Gege Akutami, is continuing the series with a sequel. *Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo* introduces a new storyline with the addition of aliens, taking place after Yuji’s adventures. While an anime adaptation hasn’t been officially announced, it’s likely *Modulo* will be adapted for television in the future.
